His friend Kirk was the only person who knew about Princes pill addiction he could’ve conspired to kill him with others. RIP

this song was originally recorded on April 21st, 1985. Prince died on April 21st, 31 years later. 3121. and it's a song about his own character's death in the film "Under The Cherry Moon". it's a song about his own end. and it did snow that April when he died. unreal.
The year he died, it snowed in April here in Illinois. It was bitter cold in Minneapolis when I visited after he died. It was so cold, I had to go to the thrift store across the street from Paisley Park to buy a heavier jacket.

Would love to have seen him doing this. Amazing. I did see him at an after show party once in the Glasgow Garage nightclub back in 1995. He'd played the SECC earlier in front of 10 thousand and then rocked up with the NPG at about 1.30am and played to just 700 of us for two hours . Mental!!

Today is April 21st 2022, in the middle of the night somewhere in France, and the grown man I am can't hold my tears....
Damn, so much talent in one small package. To think he had enough recorded music in the vault to release an album every year for the next 100 years. There are also 50 fully produced videos for songs we have never heard that will be released eventually. He really was one of the most prolific creators of music in history. I wish he was still here on this planet, but knowing there is so much unreleased completed material that will one day be shared with the universe is exciting. Rest in peace Prince Rodgers Nelson.

She died at the end of April that year, and it took me days to get to the point where I could listen to music again. I find the lyrics of this song to be very poignant to my mom's life and death. Thank you, Prince, for the precious gift of your music - especially this song that I hold very dear to my heart.

My daughter was born April 14th, 2016 and snowed just two days before that. A little less than a week later Prince had made his transition into the beyond. He was an incredible, powerhouse of artist to the likes there is no comparison. I take a certain comfort in the fact we lived during the time of Prince. 💜✨

As a musican myself Prince always reminds me of what it takes to be a musician. I first saw him on his "Dirty Mind" tour in 1981 and last saw him in San Francisco in 2009 and he was just as incredible as the first time I saw him. All my musician friends have said "there's Prince and then there's the rest of us" So sad to know he's gone from this world.
I've spent many a hazy night barely remembering the frenzy of music, booze, and dancing at Webster Hall back in those days. I like to pretend that this performance took place while I was there in the background desperately trying to get a bartender's attention for another drink. Prince is a legend and this venue is icon. RIP to him and the good old days.
