Wasn’t Stevie sleeping with Mick by this point? Also, don’t forget, Mick wanted Lindsey in the band, Lindsey insisted that Stevie had to be included or no deal. Just think how pop/rock would have been different if Stevie wasn’t part of the band.

I didn’t realize that John mcVie and Mick Fleetwood was such a powerful rhythm section. And of course, RIP to another angel, Christine mcVie. A lot of people say they prefer the Peter Green/Danny Kirwan lineup but their traditional blues rock was doomed for the 70s era.

While most people are only familiar with the Buckingham-Nicks version the early Fleetwood Mac 3 guitar line-up was an incredible group which outsold the Beatles and Stones at one point.

TH-cam has 8 full episodes and about 20 segments, Lorne Michaels had the rest of the episodes destroyed. Home vcr's didn't exist, and commercial vtr's were gone by the 90's. So most of the episodes are long gone. The YT episodes are decent quality and sound, considering the time they were made, and they are free.

I used to cruise around in my 65 Chevy Biscayne with a Sanyo tape deck and Jenson Tria-Ax speakers in the rear package tray. I didn’t catch them on the Midnight Special, but did see them on SNL when I was a young lad, performing this tune.
During my 5-year obsession with Kiss from ‘75 to ‘80 there was only one band, one summer, that mattered as much and that was Fleetwood Mac w/ ‘Rumors’. Think I actually listened to that album more than Kiss but just loved it so much, their harmonies, and thought Mick Fleetwood was an incredibly tasteful drummer. I was nine years old. An incredible time.
    Pray up and God bless.

crazy how much Nicks hated this song and its lyrics, but still stood up there and did her job

This was recorded live in some studio and has the audience overdubbed to make it seem they are appearing live on the show. Regardless ... it's friggin' fantastic. I wasn't surprised that Lindsey didn't do the guitar solo like on the record ... that would have taken six hands and three guitars to pull off 🙂 What an amazing group.

I hated playing this song on Rockband. I know the drums by heart. But the game would throw in weird hits that are not in the song. I'd barely get through with passable score and people would turn to me and ask "Are you sure you're a drummer?" Love the performance here.

In the '70s there was no singer on the music charts "hotter" than Stevie Nicks, not even Linda Ronstadt. "SN" was so adorably cute.
