that tape trick is magic and makes one think why didn't Kiwi have something like that on the headstrap to start with...thanks for that, I will drink a beer for you
Thank you man. Cheers.
The tape trick was a lifesaver. I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to get the strap through that little space, but the tape made it such a cinch. My daughter loves her Kiwi headstrap for the Quest 2, so when we bought her a Quest 3 for her birthday, I knew a Kiwi strap for the Quest 3 was in our future.
Thank you for taking the time to make this!
Thank you man, Im gald that it helps. Cheers.
Great video! Our internal team also think the tape is genius idea🤣
I was lazy to remove the mask so I was thinking to be much easier for video. xDDD
SECOND ON KIWI OMG OMG
Thank you so much. Had no idea how to get the sides off, glad I came here first. Tape saved me a lot of frustration.
the trick with tape helped so much!
The tape idea was genius!
Agree !!
The instructions that came with the headset were lacking. I was able to follow your video in real time and install. Nice job on the viedo! Great hack with the tape.
Thank you mate, Im glad that it helps. Cheers! )))
That tape trick is mad good, if you don't have tape handy, you can use that sticker that says "pay attention to L and R" that is attached to the head strap, worked like a charm
Just got mine today. Very comfortable. For the step with the tape, you can just easily clip out the facepiece on the Quest and push the strap through, around that awkward slot. It will automatically feed through, then simply clip the face piece back on.
Thank you so much for this! Incredibly, the included instructions skip entirely the step of removing the things on the side. Here I am trying to attach them over top 😂 Much appreciated!
I have the Kiwi strap on my Quest 2 and love it, so I purchased it when I ordered my Quest 3.
Your tape method was a real time-saver.
The only thing about this Kiwi strap I miss is the lens protector that came with the Quest 2 model, which also came with a facial interface.
The tape trick worked a treat! Thank you 😊
Wow great idea for tape. I seen everyone has to take off facial interface to make it work
Thank you so much!! The tape tip saved me from a lot of rage. This was excellently explained and demonstrated!!
the trick with tape helped so much too. Dankeschön from Germany!
Thanx ! The scotch tip has surely saved me from anger 😅
Genius!! Excellent tip with the tape, thank you :)
The tape idea helped a ton thanks!
4:10 Damn! Why didn't I think of that trick with the adhesive tape? I removed the facial interface but it was still a bit of a chore to get the strap through. I ended up pushing it into the loop as far as it would go, then used a small metal pin to fish the front of the strap out of there just enough so I could grab it with my fingers. The tape-method looks *much* easier - with less risk of damaging any plastic parts.
That said: This is a pretty great strap. I can't compare it to any other aftermarket products, but it sure beats the hell out of that flimsy thing the Q3 comes with. Which isn't saying much, I know, but the Kiwi is an awesome upgrade IMO.
Also completely agree WRT the jump in clarity/visual quality between the Reverb G2 and the Q3 - as I made the same upgrade about 10 days ago. Couldn't be happier with the Quest's visual quality and overall performance in PCVR.
Fantastic video thanks so much. Your tip with the tape is brilliant 🎉
So helpful tyyysm, i was afraid to push incase it breaks, but this helpp
Tape trick is genius. Thanks!
Great video! Tweezers to pull the strap through worked for me.
Wow! Thank you so much for this clear and helpful video. The tape trick worked great and saved a lot of time and frustration. I really appreciate you and this video. Thanks!!!
Omg bro thank you so much i was trying to click the headstrap but i didnt realise i needed to click ot that hard, but thanks anyways
Thank you bro, Im gald that it helps.
the tip with the tape was awesome! i’m subscribed
Thank you man. Cheers.
The tape helped alot
Holy crap thank you for the tape trick, saved my sanity.
The tape though. Seriously great idea. 👍
Cool trick with the tape!
Thank you. That was so easy thanks to you. The tape idea was genius.
Subbed for the tape trick
great tip to use tape. so fast. thanks!
I love your accent by the way. Thank you
Thank you, terrific guide 🙂
THANKS FOR THE TAPE TRICK!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Tape is a lifeeeeesaver
for me i just put the strap thring in the hole and wiggled it around a couple of times till it popped out the top.
Thanks!
You are the best! Thanks for the tape part so you earned 10 subs(me and my alts)
Thank you mate. Cheers!
instead of using the tape trick i slightly bent the very tip of the strap so when you push it in it turns and comes out the other side
Genius
Tape is clutch 🎉
You don't need tape to insert the strap, just wiggle it from side to side while pushing forward and it will go straight through like a hot knife through butter. Trust me, it's the easiest thing!
I cant do it even with the tape method. What is this design? Why was this made this way with no mention of it anywhere whatsoever? Why is this allowed?
Good Video and now a comfortable headset but the unit no longer charges in my ridiculously overpriced Dock. The whole thing is a complete sham with rubbish battery life as an extra.
How did this thing get good reviews, no one mentions its physically impossible to install without a particular type of a piece of tape? No one mentions that? What were they thinking? What is this design? Literally, wtf.
What kind of tape did you use?
Ordinary self adhesive tape
TAAAAAAAPE
You can actually tow a row of 9 Mack trucks with the absolutely ridiculous Velcro they use on this strap. My god. 🤦♂️
$60 and I need to use tape to connect it. Pathetic. Been an hour and it won’t come out the other side, almost like it’s too thick. Even without tape. Waste of my $

thanks
