Hello thank for video. I have one question, what is the small adapter for on the top of the mechanism used for? (Sorry I didn’t really understand the video because im French)
You can charge them both at the same time. You can plug in the battery head strap and then just have it connected to the headset. Kiwi also has a nice combo with their charging stand you can check out in my review here: Kiwi Design Synchronized Charging Combo - SPC Battery Head Strap & RGB Vertical Charging Stand th-cam.com/video/E2gAa3maAgw/w-d-xo.html
What about the Destek and now the ZyberVR Ace design, that has a ratcheting system that attaches to the hinges and over the top of the head. The Destek has excellent reviews on Amazon. The horizontal hinge system vs. the padded strap running vertically seems like it takes more of the pressure off of the head, ala the halo style, but can also be as secure as the elite style straps. Looks to me like the best of both worlds. Destek is coming out with the QH4 that has a battery attached as well. It looks unsightly I will say that. The ZyberVR Ace made that top part black so it looks like it will blend in more with most people's hair, but theirs will not sell with a built in battery.
Those two might provide good comfort. The deal breaker for me is not having a battery. The Quest 3’s battery life is so small that I think a battery head strap is a must. You could use other forms of external batteries I guess if you wanted to use one of these. I will have to see if I can get my hands on these to test them out!
Make sure the top strap is adjusted properly and that you have tilted the head set to fit properly on your face. Then turn the back knob to tighten it on your head.
@@BrianSloanArtist I've been playing around with it for a couple of hours now, I just can't get it comfortable and there's a lot of movement. The original strap had less movement. I'll probably sell or refund this head strap and try out the BoboVR S3 since it's on sale.
Hi, thanks for your review, mine just arrived and I've just set it up. Wondering if you can help with a question, do I leave the short cable from the battery to the quest plugged in at all times? And when I charge, do I just charge the kiwi battery, or do I need to charge both?
If my headset is fully charged, I unplug the Kiwi head strap (unless I have the Kiwi Strap plugged in as well). If you leave it plugged into the headset then it will slowly drain. You can charge them both at the same time though. I have the head strap plugged into the headset and then just plug in the head strap to a charger and they both charge at the same time.
does it rest on your nose? i have a lot of discomfort when i look down and it starts to slip onto my nose and cheekbones. makes it so hard to breathe and blink
When it's adjusted properly, there is no slipping. That's why I like the elite style head strap so much. I play a lot of VR golf games so I'm looking down a lot. I find it is a balance weight all around with this one.
Can you charge the quest 3 through the head strap like the original elite battery strap? Or do you have to charge the head strap and the quest 3 separately?
I've ordered one of these along with the stand for my Quest 3....only thing is I've only heard crickets since ordering....how fast do they usually ship?

After the battery in the strap is about dead, can I unplug it and plug in a portable battery back to take its place, until I can finish my session and charge it back up?
Already took it off - this headset was SO heavy. Holy hell. If you've made any use of your Quest 3 with the standard strap this will feel like you've added an additional brick of weight to the back of your head.
Great question! Both of these cases by Devaso work. ZyberVR's case should work too.
I have a few questions if you still happen to check this, Can you charge the headset while its in use? Like having the wire attached as you play. and If you plug the wire into the port on the top will it allow for wired play if you hook it to a computer? Sometimes I am out and cant do wireless play with my laptop but I can hook to it and run steam though link play.
You can charge it through the port while playing but I don’t believe it supports any data transfer for pcvr. I’m away and don’t have my headset with me to test for sure but I’m quite positive it doesn’t work for that.
That's a good question. I think it depends more on what you need. If you want a longer playing time and a battery head strap that keeps your Quest 3 at 100% the whole time, then Aubika is the way to go. However, if you don't care of a slow battery decline, don't need quite as long of overall playtime, but want a more comfortable strap, then Kiwi is the way to go.
If you have the SPC Battery Head Strap then it all charges form the same port. However, with just the regular battery head strap, there really isn't a spot to charge the head strap. The charging spot really only reaches the headset.
