    Thanks! I made the mistake of reading the manual which left out the part where you remove the arms from the headset. I wish everything snapped into place like it did for you. I had a bit of a struggle getting the facial interface back in place and pushing the strap thru. But I got it together eventually.

    The part at 3:10 requires quite a significant amount of pressure - It does eventually wrap around, but you need to push it quite hard.
    Mine also didn't come with that little... Cable "box" on the left - Weird. The diagram on the box itself shows it too. Odd.
    Edit: Oh - It did. It was well hidden in the packaging ;D

    • @BrianSloanArtist

      Glad you found it. And yes, I guess I should have said it does require some pressure. Without that tightness then it wouldn't stay on properly.

    Hi Brian ,thanks for your honest review. Do you get any of the "buzzing" issues people are complaining about?

    • @BrianSloanArtist
      @BrianSloanArtist  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I did not get any buzzing noises when using this.
      I was specifically listening for it as well because I knew people had mentioned it.
      There was a different battery head strap by a different brand that had some buzzing noises so I do know what it sounds like. The Kiwi Design that I tested did not have any.

    Just got mine today and your instructions are 100x better than the little booklet, thank you! The moment I put it on my head I was thrilled - the balance and the padding are fantastic. NO MORE PAIN! Do you happen to know if it has passthrough chargng? i.e. do I need to plug in two cords to charge both batteries or will it charge both at once or sequentially?
    Thanks again, great video-no fluff, solid info.

      Well I appreciate you taking the time to watch through. Sometimes I think these videos are too long but I really try to just keep useful information here. And adding the timestamps in the description I think helps so people can find what they are looking for.
      It does have passthrough charging. That is how I charge mine all the time. I have the head strap plugged into the headset and then just plug in the head strap to the charger.
      Anyways, I'm glad you appreciated it and thanks for watching!

I'm currently going through all your Quest 3 content and I'll take a look at your art content next (I'm an on-again-off-again sketcher/watercolor painter). I'm excited to see you use Vermillion.
      I'm ordering lenses as soon as I can get my PD from the optician because of you, I just started the Yezro golf attachment review, and this morning I'm off to exchange my Q3 for the 512gb version because after 3 days I'm almost out of space! What about the Destek and now the ZyberVR Ace design, that has a ratcheting system that attaches to the hinges and over the top of the head. The Destek has excellent reviews on Amazon. The horizontal hinge system vs. the padded strap running vertically seems like it takes more of the pressure off of the head, ala the halo style, but can also be as secure as the elite style straps. Looks to me like the best of both worlds. Destek is coming out with the QH4 that has a battery attached as well. It looks unsightly I will say that. The ZyberVR Ace made that top part black so it looks like it will blend in more with most people's hair, but theirs will not sell with a built in battery.

    • @BrianSloanArtist
      @BrianSloanArtist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those two might provide good comfort. The deal breaker for me is not having a battery. The Quest 3’s battery life is so small that I think a battery head strap is a must. You could use other forms of external batteries I guess if you wanted to use one of these.
      I will have to see if I can get my hands on these to test them out!

    The way you need to disassemble it is very unnerving. I kept trembling while doing it 😅

    I paly with the quest 2 using the link cable to conncet to my pc. How does this work with the battery?

    • @BrianSloanArtist
      @BrianSloanArtist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With this one, the battery part will just be unplugged. If you have your quest linked to your PC though it should be charging through the PC.

    Whats your favourite quest 3 battery strap?

      I'll be receiving the new Kiwi SPC Battery Head Strap here shortly. I already have the charging stand so I'm looking forward to the ease of charging both the headset and the head strap all from one port.
      Comfort wise with battery, the Kiwi is definitely my favourite. I recently tried the Destek head strap (it doesn't have a battery) and it was very comfortable and very adjustable.

      @@BrianSloanArtist thanks! I got the kiwi for the Quest 2 the only negative thing was the big knob at the back. Because most of the time I am sitting in my chair and watch movies and a more flat Format would be better. But I bought now the kiwi for the Quest 3...let's see how it is :)

      @@ZebSound I totally understand. The big knob does get in the way when you want to lay down or rest your head.

    as far as play time in VR, I'm the same, the longest I stay on the quest 3, is if I watch an entire movie.
