    sorry but being alone is something you have to go through in life you cannot depend on people to not feel alone.

      Okay but for me? No. It makes me feel so depressed. So no. Make friends

      being alone and being lonely are completely different things. Feeling lonely is an emotion that making friends won't necessarily fix or make go away. It's necessary to be alone sometimes to figure yourself out and allow your deep thoughts to surface.

    These cons actually are pure motivation for me. You're gonna face all that stuff that is uncomfortable - huge opportunity to grow!

    It all depends on how you use the gap year. If you will use the gap year to progress, make money, and learn a valuable skill, then it’s worth it.

    I actually really liked this video, I'm currently two years into my gap year, and I've learned so much I never even knew how to express the things I've learnt about myself and life until now. This video does a great job at putting all of that into words, I really appreciate this especial seeing as I'm about to get back into college.

    Honestly, if you are thinking about taking a gap year, have a convo with a career coach or your parents so that you can take the most of it, that way you can focus in on your career goals 😊

    Thanks man, this video helped a lot. I am currently graduating, and am deciding whether or not to take a gap year. On the one hand, I am scared that I wont make the best use of the gap year and I'll end up in a worse university to start with. On the other hand, I want to do something different, something for myself for once. Its a really hard decision.

    • @DontWaitHERO
      @DontWaitHERO  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      If there's a project, job or goal you really want to pursue then I say go for it! You should be able to accept enrollment at a university and then defer until the next year (that's what I did). Either way, get some advice and make the wisest decision you can, and good luck!

    Man im just tired I had a gap year and I feel like crap im 6 months in and I completly wasted them in just eating sleeping and going to the Coffee Shop every evening with my friends who had lifes and I was just the one who did not have a life . I wasted my time just regretting and thinkin how my desicion impacted me wrongly ,a whole year doing absolutly nothing I even developped anxiety and fear during this period. In the begining of the year I felt lost and I thought maybe a year off would be great and I will figure myself up but the opposite thing happened and I ended up having an existential crisis and I've never felt unworthiness and loneliness like that throughout my entire life.......

    • @DontWaitHERO
      @DontWaitHERO  ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I really relate to what you shared. I'm so grateful for my gap year but it challenged me in really surprising ways. If we don't have a clear goal and way to spend our time, we ultimately waste it. I struggled because I never had a clear vision. Just write down a vision for where you want to be at the end of the year and take small steps to get closer! Don't give up!

    Im thinking about taking a gap year , Im currently in junior year but I just dont feel like Im ready to graduate college, I feel like I missed so many things all due to my mental health and some personal issues I haven't been able to solve, I dont want to keep living the same way way im currently am right now. If I do take the gap year I plan to get therapy a job as well as volunteer, I always wanted to study abroad but dont have much saved. I currently majoring buisness but dont feel like buisness ready (i dont if I made sense their) but my point is I feel so unprepared in comparison to my peers, Im struggling trying to see what I like, what I'm good at and if the major I have is a good one, do you think a gap year could help me with that?
