Thanks for bringing this topic up. Taking a gap year is never an easy option. It’s a big risk you have to take. The idea of wasting a whole year with no guarantee that you’ll secure a place anywhere is scary especially for a degree as competitive as medicine! It’s a tough time for anyone.
I feel like i’m Amir right now. I can totally relate to him at this moment. I’m also taking a gap year and this is not a good phase. But after watching this video i feel so much better.
VERY informative vedio i think everyone MUST watch this vedio. I myself took a gap year. I got admission in bds but i didnt join it not because its bad field coz it was not my choice/dream so i made proper routine and started studying all over again yet it was not easy & re-appeared in mcat and end up in getting admission in mbbs 😍.... But one must think of it when situation is not in your favor.. Btw congratulations amir for getting admission in AKU❤ keep on making such useful vedios ..
I also had gap year that was the toughest phase of my life I use to study but i use to not able to focus on i was completely drained i use to cry every single day But as its said that too shall pass and it passed .unfortunately i could make it to mbbs on merit .i had bds on merit and mbbs on self That time ( gap year) seared my soul for the lifetime During his 2nd NTS attemp what was his score

I studied 2 chapters my first time. Barely managed to pass it. Thought I'll try for real the 2nd time and not only re applied for the NMDCAT but also improvement exams, AKU test and NUMS. Here we are, 2 days before the AKU exam and 20 days before the NMDCAT. I've covered 4 chapters. I am lost. I don't know what went wrong. I didn't even use social media this time, and yet, time flew past... I even ended up abandoning the Fsc improvement papers because I wasn't prepared for them. I regret signing up for NUMS now because my Fsc score isn't near enough for it. There isn't a single person I can relate to anymore. The past year and a half is truly a "gap" in my memory. I don't remember what I did or why I didn't start studying until the entrance exams were an inch away. It's all blank. I have no interest in pursuing any educational field except for medicine. I just need answers. WHERE DID I GO WRONG? I WAS SUPPOSED TO START STUDYING AT THE START OF JAN AND I STARTED NEAR THE END OF AUG. But what happened to all those months in between??? A second gap is impossible. I'll be the laughing stock (more than I am already). I WANNA TRY FOR THE AKU TEST FOR REAL😭 Just once, I wanna give my 99% and leave that 1% to luck. Why am I not able to do that??? . . . . . Sorry for venting😶
I got admission in KMDC on merit this year but I am not satisfied so what should I do should I improve or not ?? Infact I attained the orientation today but iam not mentally prepare to continue, because I only dreamt for DOW so what should I do ...plzzz plzzz guide
Not only you, almost everyone dreams to get in DOW but Obv everyone can't get in. But be thankful for what you have. You are among the almost 800 students out of 10,000 who appeared in nts test Karachi. It's a big thing. At the end you will be a doctor whether you do your mbbs from DOW or kmdc.
I also dreamt of dow but it is totally okay whether you got into any university it's a big thing that you made into a government university. You will find a good experience there and if you are really passionate and hardworking you will become a great doctor.
Also gap year is not an easy task it's so hard to study all the things again if you are really not satisfied then think about it and the consequences it can have then make a decision.
Bro.. At the undergraduate level for Medicine the institution doesn't matter that much.. at the end of the day it comes to how well u study and dedicate yourself to medicine.. My advice would be stay at kmdc and work hard and prep for USMLE InshAallah.. dont worry.
i couldnt get into a medical college this year and so ive planned to take a gap year. i will be improving my fsc marks as well (in may/june) i want to appear for the agha khan test and im planning to prep from A level books. could you PLEASE guide me a bit..if i apply for the test in april i'd have to apply with my old fsc result which isn't really good. could you make a detailed video on how to get into aha khan if the fsc result is yet to come. the prep and details about the entry test?

Was his this year nts score better than last year ? Was he able to increase his merit no. this time ?Bec this year nts was all about good time management during paper with 200 mcqs and so less time!
My problem is i havent appeared for the 3 compulsory subjects : pak studies, islamiat and urdu in olevels so i cant get my equivalency. I dont know if i should take a gap year and give the 3 papers. Any advice?
When you solve papers at home they all seem so easy. But when you are in that environment sometimes the easiest things become so hard sometimes you make mistakes because people are generally so stressed and if you make a mistake you can't correct it.
@@sayedhasnainalishah try to remain calm during and before the test and practice as much as you can you will find enough time don't panic I completed it in 2 hr. Solve past papers and Also take mock tests they also help. If you practice more you will make less mistakes.
