      I saw you say that you have to register the drone with the faa I have the numbers as I registered to fliy my airplanes and was told I only need the number I did not have to register each one. Is this not true, I have to register each one or do I just put my numbers on it which I have done even My AMA Number is on it.

      @@marceldeman1541 If you're recreationally flying, then you're absolutely correct. If I made it seem like something different, I should have clarified. For commercially flown drones (non-recreational) each individual drone must be registered uniquely with the FAA, which I've done for most of mine.

    It's great to see a video more focussed at people starting flying SUSVs (drones). I always use an landing mat, or a foldable table, it helps the DJI drones I fly get a better positional fix if they need to 'return to home' when I fly from a field.

    I just got a new Mavic Pro I haven’t even unboxed it yet. I already have a Phantom 3 pro and a Spark so I am familiar with the app and the updating process. In Canada we have the same rule, the drone must be registered with Transport Canada for a fee of $5 and the registration number must be somewhere on the outside of the aircraft. Great video, I’ll be sure to look at your other Mavic Pro videos before I fly. 😎

    It would be weird to enshrine an inanimate object, still that drone and your videos taught me how to fly my MP1 for which I'm grateful and salute the little guy. As you noted, that drone kick started your YT channel up toward 100K subscribers; congratulations
    I'm happy for your buddy, and wish him the best of luck in the adventure.
    Coincidentally, I watched this specific video because I'm selling my MP1. I recently purchased and M2P Zoom. With the transfer of ownership, I need to be sure that if the new owner crashes into a nuclear power plant, or donut shop that the authorities know it wasn't me.
    There's a whole lot of this going on. It's like the changing of the guard, or something. Hope it don't effect market prices.
    Regards

    Hi Ed, I just got a M2Z and being a total noob to DJI products, would like to know if the Mavic 2 offers a 'headless' flight mode which is something I'm vaguely familiar with as I began flying a Hubsan X4 Desire H502s which offered that feature. It's basically a flight mode where the joysticks govern the craft in relation to where the RC is, regardless of the craft's orientation. Thanks and keep up the great work!

      Create an account at faadronezone-access.faa.gov/
      After logging in, launch the Drone Owners and Pilots Dashboard. From there you can Manage Device Inventory and then Add Device with Make, Model, and serial number. Then use a credit card to pay the $5.

      In the trash huh? If it works, why would it be in the trash? I suggest you send the serial number to support@dji . com who can confirm the owner and see if they're missing a drone. If it was intentionally thrown out, the owner will need to unbind it from their DJI account.

    • @TailoredReaction
      @TailoredReaction 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The NFZ Limit means you are in a No Fly Zone that will limit your flight height to whatever the law is where you are flying. It is there so you do not fly where airplanes will be flying. Usually there is an airport near by. To check the "zones" on a map, go here, Geo Zones Fly Safe Maps

    • @EdRickerVlogs

      All you have to do is cancel your FAA registration of the drone (or just remove the number from the drone if it's not individually registered) and then have the new owner put his FAA registration number on the drone. Any DJI stuff happens automatically when the new user installs the DJI Go app and runs it for the first time.

      Hi again Ed, I have a Sennheiser ew 100 G3
      I'm attempting to pair it with my samsung Galaxy S5 CAMERA. My first project is to do a small roof repair , talking up there and recording all on my phone on a tripod from the ground. So I'm assuming that I need to get some app for the phone to pair with the audio from the wireless transmitter. I've had it for months but I'm intimidated by the setup. Probably simple, right?

    • @EdRickerVlogs
      @EdRickerVlogs  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JohnODonovan1 Hi John, Are you running a transmitter/receiver setup? If you only have a transmitter, you'll need to get a matching receiver. This is what I use: amzn.to/2XSHUCA
      It includes the transmitter pack and the receiver pack. They look similar but they have two different functions, and both are required to transmit audio wirelessly.
      Once you have the receiver, you can use an audio cable to connect to your recording source assuming it has an audio input.

      No it shouldn't be a problem. I've sold many drones on eBay and never once had an issue with someone not being able to register/activate/set it up. You'll have to sign up for a DJI account and install the app, and at that point you're good to go with the drone.
