We bought a Mavic Pro at an Agricultural Field day in New South Wales, Australia, earlier this week. My husband convinced me that it would be great for checking cattle and water troughs. Neither of us have ever flown a drone before. Hmmmm, I thought! After reading the manual checking some forums and tutorials, I found your videos. THANK YOU! They are clear, concise and informative without being too technical. We had our first series of successful flights this morning with no drama at all. Thanks also for the discount coupon on the Mavmount! Big thumbs up from a couple of Aussie farmers in their fifties....lol! 👍
You're by far the best in this sector! As a very advanced drone pilot you're able to step back and remember how it was when you started, then effectively educate in a easy to understand manner. Thanks very much for all you do.
I absolutely agree. Just got my 1st drone and god only knows how many videos I've watched and walked away w very little info. This was packed full of information I needed as a noob.

I haven't purchased mine yet but your video has given me to confidence to go ahead and do so. I've watched a bunch but this is by far the best for a beginner.

Just bought my Mavic. Been reading the instructions for 2 days and felt overwhelmed. Just watched your video and it all makes much more sense. Thanks! I will be checking out your other videos and am excited for my first flight.
I did my first flight today with my mavic 2 zoom, with your clear explanation and step by step tutorials i got used to flying my mavic right away.. Thanks again..
Thank you. Been a Mavis Pro owner since its release. Haven’t flown it for a couple of years. Brought it to Florida with us this winter and watched this video as a refresher course. Very, very helpful and I took notes. Getting ready to fly and photo/video our incredible surroundings.
I would recommend this video for all Mavic Pro Beginners bcoz you get all the information you need. I wished I have seen this video when I first started off and got all the info I need in one video rather than watching several lengthy videos that is too comprehensive for a beginner. Truly an Awesome video and will get you safely flying your DJI Mavic Pro. Well done and Thank you FlytPath.
Had my mavic pro platinum for over a week now. Paid the extra to have the drone setup and tested. Using your videos as a guide before even removing from the box. Brilliant content and very simplified. Top job 👍🏻
Excellent! I've been watching many videos to familiarize myself before flying. I bought the pro bundle a month ago or so and have never flown. I have several of the new generation RC planes (electric/lithium ion cell), but still practicing on simulator. The best thing I picked up on this was your take on orientation. Great method.. with planes, you have to maintain speed and can't fly in reverse.. makes practice tough and expensive. I can't wait to get started, but this day off is a soaker.. foiled again!
Wonderful videos! Drone tutorial and informational videos too often include horrible attempts at comedy and endless rambling. Thanks for your no-nonsense, refreshingly concise work. You show that a video be upbeat and lively without the eye-roller antics.
Your part 1-setting up the mavic pro and now part 2-basic beginner flying modes, are the easiest to understand and most comprehensive videos out there. Can't wait to move on to the next ones in the series. Thanks so much!
Hey Aldryn, having just bought my Mavic Pro and waiting impatiently to go get my basic training and license as required here in Dubai before I can fly it, I started looking for 'Beginner's Guides" to using a Mavic. Luckily I found yours early on and can I just say they are excellent. Clear, precise, well presented, you cover everything, and they're easy to watch so I find myself paying attention to the Tips, not thinking "But why....?", "But how....?"- because you've covered it. Really well done - DJI should be using you, not "Ty" to present their products. I couldn't watch theirs, I had to switch them off!
I got my mavic today and the manual is in korean since I am here in Seoul. I watched a lot of videos about mavic set up, but yours are the ones i saved. Very helpful for beginners like me. Very simple. Thanks. I now feel like I belong to a fraternity of flyers. Lol

I do have a question regarding flying a drone near a international airport. What might be the restrictions if any. Thanks again and look forward to your response.
THomas VAsquez The DJI GO app you fly with, has a “GEO Zone” auto updated database of no fly zones and restricted zones. It will not let you fly there depending on the level of restriction. So you could download the app and tap “Enter equipment” and “Camera view without connection” will let you see the main drone screen even without owning a drone. Then look around your area. FIRST TIP... SHOULD BE... NAME ADDRESS & PHONE NUMBER LABEL ON THE DRONE! I LOST A GPS DRONE BECAUSE I DIDN'T CALIBRATE THE GPS CORRECTLY AND IT WAS FLYING IN WIFI MODE. Your GPS drone will not fly back to home if it's flying in Wi-Fi mode and loses signal. When setting a drone on a flat surface do not use concrete because there's metal inside of it and the metal might be magnetic which will throw off your calibration. Use a picnic table or do the calibration in your hand
That was excellent. Super Job. I am a high school teacher introducing this to students this year. I will keep a close eye on your videos. Thanks so much.

Hello! I’ve been considering a drone and lo and behold my workmate sold me his used Mavic Pro for $200 with tons of accessories this week. He’s replaced it with the Mavic Pro 2. I’ve sub’d to various channels and watched a lot of videos on first setup and first flight, but I must say this video of yours and the other you made on initial setup (Part 1) as new out of the box were probably the best of the bunch. Extremely clear presentation in both videos by you without the usual load of unnecessary BS and they took away the guesswork and anxiety of the first flight. Love the videos, and I’ve sub’d your channel. Thanks!

Fun fact: it’s illegal in Germany to Fly a Drone without such a Label 🙂
That was excellent. Super Job. I am a high school teacher introducing this to students this year. I will keep a close eye on your videos. Thanks so much.
MICHELE HERMSEN thanks so much for feedback
I totally agree, Your vid is absolutely great, one might think, that You have professional skills as an educator
Many other guys on TH-cam thinks that it is a question of talking as fast as possible and rush through their info, leaving the spectator without a clue of what it is about
Your changing in speech and videodocumention is perfectly timed
Thanks from a newcommer in the “Mavic world”
This instruvtion is by far the best on thetube. Thanks for your effort
Thanks!
