I believe if you have a previous ceramic coating, especially a professional one, already on your car, and especially with a 9H top coat, you need to use polish/compound and a multi direction orbital polisher to get it off before you install a new type.
@Stew5166 haha it be cool if you visited for some of the big corvette shows they have for sure! And yeah that garage floor was one of the happiest investments I made for my garage and Im so glad I did it! It really does transform the space!
Great video Carlos, wish i knew about this before i had my C8 ceramic coated, but i am going to try the glass and interior kits and on my daily driver for the paint.
Brink of speed did a video sometime back where they feature a product that can be applied to everything without the need to blow money on separate kits. The one they used on the paint, glass, leather interior, plastic, wheels. I think that’s what I will be shooting for But this is cool if you can apply it to ALL or at least most surfaces for that reason I am out. Great video though 👍
Hey thanks for the comment and I can appreciate that point of view. My counter discussion i would say is that the different kits are specifically designed to give the best protection to the surface type compared to anything on the market as a DIY. So for example the wheel kit is specifically designed to handle the higher heat cycles that you can get during the summer if you did tracking especially and provide better protection than anything else on the market. The vinyl kit gets you the great protection while minimizing the change in finish which would be ideal for satin and matte vinyll or ppf wraps. (Still works on gloss wraps too just fine 😎) The product BOS promoted some time ago is good and is just focused on an overall coverage and marketed as such. Still good but kind of like a jack of all trades but master of none. To me, this stuff is a premium product if you have a surface specific type of protection in mind and is the "master" of that specific surface. So this hits a market for those in that need. Either way glad you enjoyed the video and honest feedback! It helps alot!
Hey thanks for the comment! Yes their wheel kit is specially formulated for wheels and will work on forged aluminum wheels and alot of other types of wheels as well!
@@zaddy_andre__ Good question. Id say the Body 36 kit version would work best for the non metallic surfaces in the engine bay. Its the more all round formula thats works on most exterior surfacesbexcept for glass. Hope that helps
@@stevepen neither did I until recently. And franky before applying it, i was just expecting the same level of protection compared to anything else on the market. But im totally sold by this stuf! It was WAAY easier to apply and get much better coating results that felt smoother than any other system I had used before!
I have never used ceramic liquid coating or that one...I always thought they were gimics but I have used other types with ceramic liquid blended in them and it works good in the hydrophobic properties but I'm still in defense in them doing something for scratches and other things like that. My question I have is I notice it gets wiped off after but my question is can if just be left on not wiped off after? When it dries does it grey out and change the color or why does it need to get wiped off for? Like I was saying I haven't used full ceramic liquid or that type yet so that's why I don't know and I'm asking.... thank you for the video I hope you do not updates on that new product
Hey Joe. So before this Diamond coating, my go to was Adams Graphene Ceramic Coating. But this stuff BLOWS it out of the water in every way from a MUCH easier and forgiving application process and my car was WAY slicker. The thickness for the Diamond is in micrometers (i believe 2 MICROmeters for the pro series) which is an order of magnitude THICKER compared to the ceramic which is in nano meters (from 2 to 8 NANOmeters typical). They seriously made me a lifelong supporter of their brand its that good to me! Hope that helps 😊
It's all marketing, it's basically the same ol same old ceramic coating The ceramic coating industry is likely the creatine industry.. Every year, there's a new term attached to creatine, and at the end of the day, it's just creatine.
Hey Vi I appreciate your concern. But as an aerospace engineer who has done his homework on the backend before applying this to his own C8 Z06, I can assure you its NOT like other ceramic coatings because its NOT A CERAMIC COATING SYSTEM to begin with. Its a completely different formula that applies an order of magnitude thicker than pro grade ceramic systems in a DIY method and acheives 10H level hardness. Ive used other ceramics like adams graphene ceramic coating and this stuff just blows it out of the water. Thanks for giving the opportunity to clarify this and have a good one! 😎👍
Hey DRT thanks for the comment so that i can address the concern. I was skeptical at first but it is a legitimate formula specifically designed for the auto industry thats actually been well recognized and used in the machinery industry for diamond coatings on drill bits for years now. The tech itself is not new and has a solid history in that industry. Its new to the automotive industry which is what makes it so much more effective as a coating system compared to ceramic. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to address this. Have a good one! 😎👍

What is the brand name of that product from BOS? I want to compare both before purchase. Thanks

do they have a version for a coupe's engine bay for the water that comes in vents to just come off?

Carbon fiber bits?
Coating Carbon fiber parts would work same as oem paint so the Body 36 kit would work best from the Diamond Protech line. Hope that helps! 😎👍

@NuHorizonC8 have you done lab testing on this compound, or are you just going by what the company wrote.
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
“Diamond-based”? “Nano diamonds”? More like snake oil-based. Claiming it’s better than ceramic with little to no track record is suspicious.
