I have zero issues with him giving it to Matt. It was a great video and him and the team put a lot of work in getting it together. That said, it does feel a little shady in its execution.
It's heavily implied from the title, and otherwise, that it's actually a "give away," (aka for fans/viewers). So to imply this, then only towards the very end of the video, reveal that implication was a farce and it's a actually being given to a friend of his... Does feel a tad shady for clickbait/views reasons.
Again, I think it's great he gave it to him, and they put a lot of work into doing it. It just seems manipulative for views to imply it was actually a give away car, only to reveal at the very end

these 996 cars are gonna be such a high dollar car in the future for Porsche guys. So many have been scrapped and treated bad that clean ones have appreciated insanely already

Well, he helped himself a lot to get this one done within 24 hours😂. I am going to be blunt here. This was definitely doable in 24 hours. Still impressive. Not gonna lie, but this was basically an engine swap and a wash with a few small bits and bops while Matt rebuilt a crash damaged far complexer car😅. I am used to working on Porsches and Freddie made it look a little more complex than it was for dramatic effect 😉

I'm a big fan of completely original OEM Porsche's. This is exactly what I would do to this car, if I had the means. I love the beautiful color and the tan interior. And the fact that it's a manual transmission. Great work. Thank you.
Any relatively intact 911 that originally came with a Mezger engine is usually worth saving. I just kind of wish Hoovie would've taken that to heart with his Safari Turbo build.

Matt's definitely well deserving of the car. For me it's still the Merci. That interior design he came up with is still one of the most incredible designs I've ever seen, because it balanced show-stopping wow-factor with a top-draw level of style and class, and absolutely nailed that "Million dollar supercar" tag.
And he always seems like a really humble guy.
And this shows why Freddie is a cut above the rest when it comes to Automotive TH-cam; despite how much success he's had, and how big the channel gets, Freddie never forgets to look after the people who help him out.
Wish i had friends to work on my cars with. Just riffing and having fun, you, mat and auto alex are all a massive inspiration to me. But the one thing that really puts a smile on my face is the boys having a good time.

McLarens and Lamborghinis are amazing cars, but the Porsche 911 Turbo is an amazing car. I love the 1998-2004, 996 series because they're so under rated which makes them awesome daily drivers. The Metzger engine is bulletproof too, you can put a ton of reliable miles on them if you go easy on the car.
So... Is it safe to infer that Mclaren, Lamborghini, and Porsche 911 Turbo are, as stated by yourself, ALL... amazing... cars...? 😂

Love the video. FYI if you need to stop the axles from rotating you can stick a large screwdriver in the slots of the rotor and it will get pinned against the caliper instead of have a guy in the air pressing the brakes. Just something I noticed.

Center clutch disk properly and you wont have. You can also grease main shaft little bit
