I've gotta tell you something, I follow a lot of watch related channels and usually i'll just watch the videos of the watches i'm interested in. Your channel is one of the few I watch regardless of which watch you cover. Your editing, cinematography, script and humour is alway on point. I also realise that I used the word "Watch" way too much. But it's only fitting :)

I really like that Citizen puts long silicone bracelets on their diving watches, because I have a wide wrist and I have a problem when I buy a watch that doesn't have a bracelet long enough for my wide wrist. Citizen, congratulations on that solution. Well done.💪💪💪

Great vid! I own 2 Citizen diver’s, one is the Promaster satellite wave which is made from the same material- I spent 12 days with it on our family vacation in northern Italy- the crystal took a direct hit from a steel lock of an old door in a (too) narrow village street. And the titanium case got to accidentally rub a decent part of a pointy rock in the Dolomites- and there is no sign of any scratch. Non. Not on the case nor the sapphire.
    Just my experience, off course.

I have had this watch for a bit over a month now and put it on an Uncle Straps nylon and velcro two piece strap. It is incredibly light and is easy to forget you are wearing it because of that. What I love about it is it's very basic utilitarian looks, the thing oozes the classic diver look and is a strap monster. Yes the crown is a bit small but manageable. The finish is very good and about the only thing I feel it is missing is a ceramic bezel.

  • @D6EH

Glad you covered this. I think Citizen is doing a great job with newer automatic offerings. I like this one. Maybe not a fan of the bezel insert, they could have improved that to make it ISO compliant and even lume the bezel insert as well to knock it out of the park. The rest is great IMHO. The Miyota 9000 series movements are much better than the Seiko counter parts (4R 6R movements) better soecs and smiller!

I’ve owned this watch since the month of its release. I really love this watch, it’s my everyday beater. It outperformed all the automatics in its price range. It’s light, utilitarian, and it’s a strap monster. There’s not really much more you can ask for in a watch priced like this, especially when some of the closest competitors are something like Grand Seiko’s, which are usually $1G + (I got mine from an authorized dealer for a little over $500 which is a steal imo).

I'm a huge Citizen fan, I think they're the best affordable Japanese watch brand and my grail is one of their high end watches, the 0200 with La Joux Perret movement. Absolutely head over heels in love with that watch. Like a very much head over heels, maybe even excessively so. No, its actually spagettification levels of head over heels.

This is nice, and a step above what Seiko offers for around that price, even if I'm all dive watched-out these days. What intrigues me the most is that movement. Even with an unremarkable power reserve, I can't wait for a microbrand to throw that into some kind of Milgauss or Aqua Terra killer.

I still don't understand how people test diving watches (rotation, crown, etc) out of the water. I already had Citizen and Seiko watches, and in my opinion, Citizen is on another level, although Seiko has more ''name''. I have never had a problem with a CITIZEN. I love de brush Steel, The Safire, titanium, the eco-drive movemnts, etc...Super resistent and reliable. Payng 200/300€ for watches that never given me any problems in 20 years....? count me in CITIZEN
And I'm glad that's the case, because I can buy better watches, with sapphire and titanium, at half the prices of the Seiko.

For an alternate perspective on mechanical watches. I give you Canada. I argue our moto should be "Canada, Ces bizarre". It's bilingual, and true. I kid, and digress. In the far north the solar powered watches fail since we can get long hours of darkness without enough ambient light, that plus we tend to wear huge coats and sweaters so a solar quartz tends to not be are reliable. Quartz itself is an issue, even if you can change the battery yourself: find one way up here, in some areas... Mechanical still serves a purpose and maintains a use case.

The titanium weight and look sounds awesome and must wear great on the wrist. To me ISO certification is a must as I snorkel and am out for prolonged periods often in deep water. Ok.....to hell with the watch....... What is that multicolored button "thingy" that you strategically placed in the background? I want one and have no idea what it is! Nice vid as always!

Fairly good review, except that not mentioning the bezel material on a dive watch review is a big miss in my book
