your thinking is incorrect. The 2 front wheels have power going to them all the time. The rear wheels only 1 provides power until the orange button is pushed down... than it becomes a locked rear and a true 4x4. Normally it is just a 3 wheel drive. The button controls the locking of the rear, it does nothing to change the front wheel status. Read your manual again or test it out in the snow for yourself.
The yellow plug on the right side that you didn't know is the oil plug for engine. And the gas doesn't have a turbo on it and the diesel is 1/12 horse power less..

Yes it has a ITorque turbo system
No it doesn't have a turbo, if it did it would be connected to the exhaust
