Everyone says build up to pull ups with scapula pull ups, but no one explains what they are, except you. Literally no other youtuber gave the information regarding shoulder blade movement. Thanks a lot

Omg. Thank you so much for this tutorial. As a girl who is struggling to achieve more than 5 pull ups, I can see which mistakes I’m making. I haven’t tried to engage my scapula enough during the movement. The scapula pull up is an eye-opening practice for me !

Hi Kim! Thanks for dropping by to check out the video! Am truly glad that it helped you to identify your strength and weaknesses. The scapula movement is indeed very important in order to have proper activation from the primary working muscle for the pull ups / chin ups (lats). Keep doing what you're doing and have excellent progress!

I don’t comment on videos much. Even less on fitness vids since there are so many comments on my fav TH-camrs like Jeremy ethier, Jeff nippard etc but your video quality and the way you explained with drills and cues was incredible. Short, informative and effective. Keep this formula for future videos since it’s incredibly effective and your high production makes it even better. I hope you release more videos like this.

This is the most detailed pull up explanation on the net period. I have reviewed many and now I have a plan - FINALLY! I now understand what a scapular pull up looks like. I'd only add stiffening the core as another step, to hold the legs straight and not flailing all over the place. Asante.

Hi, I wanted to give update on my progress. After doing band assisted pullups for about 2 weeks(found your video a couple of days into first week), I gave up cuz I was having trouble staying consistent with my workout and diet. Today I just randomly went to my pullupbar and I was able to do 2 bodyweight pullups without bands in a row. This is insane. from 0 to 2. This has motivated me, I m continuing my journey. Thanks to your video. I am finally confident that I am doing them right and I was actually able to feel my back muscles for the first time after doing the steps in the video.

Pull ups (and chin ups) are an extremely efficient excercise for the posterior chain of the upper body! Adding resistance bands to my routine was a revelation to me because even though I could always do some pull ups raw, resistance bands allows for me to do some actual and proper SETS which is much more useful. Resistance bands have also allowed for me to see any flaws in my form and try correct them to achieve "perfect" form pull ups :)

Like do you advice some specific mobility and flexibility exercises. And second I saw a lot of other video”s that is better when lowering from the pull up to end in an active hang instead going all the way to a passive hang.

Btw what would you recommend to get full shoulder depression on top of the movement? My shoulders look like a straight line with my trapezius while they should be slightly lower
If you had any tip it would be useful

I can retract my shoulder blades just fine with my arms out in front of me but when I put my arms straight up I can’t seem to retract them as well. Is there an exercise you recommend to strengthen my shoulders or should I just do retractions with my arms in front of me? I’m coming from a very sedentary life style trying to be active

Дякую. Навіть не знаючи англійської мови, все досить зрозуміло та дуже цікаво. Успіхів Вам.

While going down in pull up we should not release the shoulder because it relexes back
