I just love when you do the hill test. One day hopefully I can watch y’all filming one.
The chrome on this truck looks amazing!!
Good info on the 4 Auto vs 4 Hi.
A minor correction: a locking diff does not split power 50/50 - it is a very prevalent misconception. It locks wheels together that effectively sends power to the one that has traction.
Open diffs also do not split power in any fixed way: they split torque. As power is equal to torque times the speed of rotation, they make all power go to wheel that spin the fastest.
Thanks for chiming in, but that’s not totally correct. When this differential locks, it locks the rear tires 1:1, or as we worded it, 50/50.
A limited slip will send power to the wheel with the most traction, but will still differentiate power between left and right.
An open differential as you said does not have any sort of tq split management. It simply sends power to the path of least resistance.
This is correct: locking diffs deliver equal to each wheel or axle (torque and power will generally be different across the diff). Open diffs deliver equal to each wheel or axle (speed and power will generally be different across the diff).
Neither type of diff delivers a 50/50 power split, except for special cases, like an open diff with both wheels or axles turning at the same speed.
The new 2500 HD duramax ZR2 is 😅
toyota doesn't use it because 4 auto is clutch based and is less reliable, and toyota is lazy or slow on tech.
Goodyear Wrangler? Bad, VERY BAD!! They had a buldge after a year of use.
This whole review summed up in one word: DUH! 😂 If you put it in 4x4 it climbs better😂😂😂SHOCKING
In the real world, nobody drives 2 mph up a hill
Oh course, but the point of this test is so see what mechanical grip the vehicle has out of the box. With enough momentum anything can bash up the hill.
F350 Ford Tremor high output diesel is best off road heavy duty truck
That’s like winning the special Olympics purpose built off-road Heavy duty trucks are pointless for anything really practical
