Every bike has drawbacks, no motorcycle is perfect.
MotorBeam Has the Suzuki resolved the issue?.. And kudos for mentioning about quality issue and drawbacks which are not often seen in other review channels. Keep doing it

mate u get that mileage on higher revs and city traffic too???
yes I get that mileage in city traffic and highways....i ride mostly from 60 - 90 kmph, highest gear possible for the smoothness.
42- 45 kmpl , sometimes when I restrict myself to
50-60 kmph, I am able to extract around 50-55 kmpl.

Quality issues? Seriously? My previous honda stunner started rusting from 3rd month and my Sf is still going good after 20k kms and 1.5 years. If you hit a bad pothole in too much speed, I have seen ktms frame getting bent. Leave alone rim undulations.
It also depends on how you maintain your bike.
MotorBeam.. cannot agree more. With the same level of maintenance i bet suzuki offers decent quality as being experienced by me..
my gixxer been almost 2 years old, not even single RUST stain on it.
Do you still ride this motorcycle? Other than any rusting issues, the guy on this video mentioned something that should make me waaaay more concerned, as I am planning to buy this motorcycle: the tendency of the bike to drink oil. Does your motorcycle have that problem? How bad is it? Did the engine lose performance because of it? Please let us know.

There isn't one day that I have repented buying this bike. The power delivery is smooth and most importantly the engine is refined... Vibrations are minimal and that really really makes the ride enjoyable.. Good review BTW.. Can you suggest any parts that I can retrofit on the gixxer to make it a better tourer
Watching ur review, I bought this bike. I really trusted motorbeam. People before buying any bike go to forums like xbhp to see if the bike issues are manageable for you!. The issue is, u guys don't cover some things an everyday rider would experience like...
1. The headlight is a nightmare, near my home are pitch black twisty roads in which my old 30k km activa's headlight fares better.
2.The pillion seat slopes forward. Why the hell?! I don't want someone falling on me all the time.
3.Every motorcycle lacks damn storage. Gixxer makes it even harder to add a rack. I just don't understand why scooters have storage while bikes don't even have a rack.
4. The mud gaurd is almost absent. Ur shoes & pant is full of mud if it rains.
5. THE WORST: The service centers who always escape their duties.
That's something we can tell only after a long term use.
MotorBeam Yes, isn't this a long term review?. A sincere suggestion, pls consider points like these as most Indians buy bikes to commute & sometimes tour. Most of us are not going be hitting the track everyday. The performance points u cover are very important & every review channel does that. But pls do consider an everyday Indian for future reviews. How a bike is in rain, off road, night times, with a pillion, etc. Now I know a sports bike can't be a cruiser, but u should mention how it performs as 1 as not all of us can own 5 diff bikes.
i have been riding my gixxer for 2 years now and i loved the ride. I feel like the gears became too tight for shifting nowadays. Does anyone else felt that? It clocked 20,000km now

Its my first bike and i love it
Met with an accident but thdn too after restoration process quite good as old
Pros -quite refined engine
-durable workhorse.. Apart from certain electrical issues no issue on engine side
-reliable till now
-mileage figures are quite impressive
-may be being a hayabusa fanboy i liked its busa roots in design
Cons
-Hard gears always was a problem in old gixxers
-quite hard clutch too... City ride becomes a bit workout for forearm
-serviece centres are not satisfactory
@@adityanrvarier7406 Ya right. If they made it with softer gears and improved the pillion comfort(breaks the pillion rider's back and slides to the front while braking), it would have been the perfect bike.
I own a gixxer and is about to cross 30k kms. I am happy to say that its a amazing bike in 150 segment. It has got the look, power, handling, good sound, less maintenance, etc. Its a pocket friendly bike as i haven't changed or replaced anything expensive spares yet.

It's all true.i am the owner of Gixxer 155cc standard model.its luxurious than any other of this segment.its has gear shift indicator, double exhaust,double disc,great suspension.

I have Fz16 old Ver 2014 model 2 years now i clocked 22000 kms....Quality is excellent spares are very cheap..Braking handling is great...looks are ageless...The only advantage Gixxer has the higher engine performance....my bike is givinge 38 to 40 kmpl milage...Cruising speed is 80 to 90 kmph....no more than that

Gixxer or Fzs v2.0??? 5'5'' and 55 kgs. Is the ground clearance of FZS way better than Gixxer? Will adding a skid plate solve all issues of ground clearance?

I have been experiencing lugging, tappetinng & hissing noises, slow speed loss of power & rough performance since 3 months, svc guys took it once for a day & the probs seem to have stopped, but its back again. It took me to try 3 suz svcs before 1 finally agreed to even check!. The others would do a ride & say there is no problem.
Suzuki service does need to improve.

i did'nt faced any oil issue in my gixxer. even i had used full synthetic oil and after that it rides more smoother.

Yes you can but if your bike is new, it can void the warranty.
dear team motorbeam, i too face this oil drain issue ( when viewed from oil window) . but since there were no visible leaks , i changed the oil myself and when I measured the drained oil , no reduction in quantity . it was still 950 ml. still totally confused. any opinions !?

MITH SILVER In my opinion if you want a quick and faster bike you should select rs 200 but you want a reliable and a quality bike with nice engine performance you should go for the Yamaha r15
p.s. you should give some time to buy as the Yamaha will soon launch the upgraded version of r15
Hey, I am thinking of getting myself gixxer special edition 2017... But now m worried about getting the parts and servicing? Are suzuki service centers that bad?? Also, is it really difficult to get parts for the bike.. Being a special edition, will that be a risk in long run? I really want a Matt finish bike, but if that can be a trouble for me in long run, do I need to go for normal black color? Because that's my second option.. Will appreciate the replies guys... As m really confused..

Pillion comfort isn't the best on the Gixxer.
Alhamdulillah,i own a gixxer almst 2 yrs now as mentioned the rim issues same has been faced by me,othr thn dat the riding pleasure is unmatched by any 150cc bike yet!😊

Nope they didnt.....they say it comes under insurance dat too whn the rim gets broken down,they will replace!!

Even I have been using this bike for an year. I'm totally impressed by its power n cornering abilities however it feels weird dat its too short dat my feet scrapes d road at times. Been facing kinda wobble from the handle bars.. Tried to fix it during services but it comes back very quick. Hope someone helps me with this issue. Would rate it a 7/10 for this bike after coming from Karizma
