This video just changed my plans from dual caliper to inline with a pedal box for my next drift car build. Thank you for the in depth explanations Josiah.

Thank you for making these educational videos!!! I know they are not as entertaining but they provide so much insight on where to spend your time and $$.

Thanks for posting this. I've been trying to find the pros and cons between inline and dual caliper setup. Great explanations on the differences in function and feel.

Have you seen the Ceika Drift Caliper? it's one giant caliper with 2 brake line inputs. so you can have regular brakes and a hydro all in one caliper, it's pretty insane.

Eh I've have cable/drum setup on my r32 for years, gktech hand brake handle(which isn't actually longer) a drift button and Project mu shoes. Just as you said. Cost effective. However I think if properly adjusted it works fine. Usually check adjustment during my nut/bolt check.
    Good video though.

What is the advantage of having a full brake system + handbrake, so dual caliper setup, vs a split foot pedal for front brake and handbrake for rear? It seems most foot braking is done mid drift to help rotate the car at which point any rear brake is just wasted horsepower.

in few series like FD you can't bias 100% front and 0% rear with the foot brake

My cable and drum brakes actually function very good it has more than enough contact to stop the wheels my cables dont stretch I've never had a problem locking the rear wheels up get your facts straight before counting out drums and cable lol
