Maangchi! Remember me? Wrote you from Norway and was moving back to vancouver, Canada! Great to be home and super thanks for all the lovely recipes. How I drooled over them in Norway where I just could not get the ingredients. Now, NOW I can!!!!!!!I love your voice and you are a very sweet lady. Thanks again for sharing.
As I was watching you assemble the hot dog I was thinking to myself, "I MUST have mustard on my hot dog" and then literally 3 seconds later i see you adding some mustard to the hot dog!!! LOL fantastic! looks fantastic, and as usual Maangchi, so do you! You look super cute with that white ribbon your hair. You are adorable :)
I made this recipe now I feel like every hot dog I've eaten before now was a wasted opportunity. I made with götziger brand jalapeño and cheese kransky. it was fantastic maangchi you are awesome. I hope you come to brisbane australia one day so I can see you in person! we eat korean everyday now.
Growing up in a military town with tons of Korean immigrants, I grew up eating Korean food because of my Korean friends. I've eaten homemade Kim chi, yakimandu, bibimbap. When I moved to Ohio, Korean food is hard to find. Maangchi's recipes make it easy to make my own favorite Korean recipes.
maangchi thank you for these amazing recipes. I like your personality a lot, such a cheerful person you are, people around you must be happy all the time!
Nice video! I have been making Kimchi dogs for years! This is the first time I have seen anybody else talk about it! I will add your lettuce idea to mine and the scored hot doggos!
This is perfect!! Two of my favorite foods together!! Someone gave me some store-bought kimchi in a jar, and I knew your recipes would help me make something delicious!!
This is awesome, I have done this last year. I am glad you had the same idea too. You have inspired me to cook. I rarely ever cooked before I found your channel. My family said I went from zero to 100 in no time flat.
Indonesian caption is up! One of my viewers submitted the caption. Whoever did the caption, thank you so much! th-cam.com/users/timedtext_video?auto=yes&bl=watch&ref=wt&v=i5IjL_-Xqug

THIS LOOKS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING. I love cole-slaw on my hot dogs, but the kimchi takes it to a whole different level. I cant believe I havent thought of this before! Will definitley try!

How about kimchi pancake or kimchi bokkeumbap? kimchi pancake: www.maangchi.com/recipe/kimchijeon Kimchi fried rice: www.maangchi.com/recipe/kimchi-bokkeumbap
I remember when I was at the county fair in the place I live there was a vendor that sold homemade kimchi hotdogs and some other Korean stuff. It was soooooo good it was like a whole other world.
Funny fact: That is similar to "sausage in bread" of Europe. Grilled sausage, sweet/sour/spicy onionsauce in grilled bread. Korean Hot Dog is very similar to European Bosna and its styles. The world seems so big, but in the end we all like tasty food :)
Funny fact: this is not Korean food. She is putting a Korean spin on American hot dogs. American hot dogs are an evolution of German sausages that originated in America in the late 1800's.
This is so easy Maangchi!! I am a university student living in a condominium and I can cook this with a rice cooker. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! Now my tummy is happy :D
Never saw that hot dog scoring before it is genius! Chef John at Food Wishes just made hot dog buns, if I was ambitious I would combine the two recipes. I will save this one it is a great idea. Thanks for all your hard work.
This is the bomb!! Bombilicous!! Hhahaha I made this today for lunch. So glad I have Kimchi on hand. Don't have hot dog, but did have some sausages in stock (make it more amazing!) This is so genius!! Everyone got to make it for friends, family, or just self! A tiny bit of sugar when stir frying the Kimchi make it well balanced!! This is one of the rare best dish I haven't had in a while. I don't know why I never thought of doing this before. Thanks for making this Maangchi!!
Maanchi! I love you so much! I've seriously been making Korean food at least once a week because of you! I made your Korean fried chicken (but I put it in my airfryer then added the sauce), Kimchi! OMG!! it tastes soo good! Since I just made 4 lbs of kimchi using your recipe, I will make this next week! THANK YOU!! :)
Usually I don't like hot dogs, but this looks so tasty. I love that you fry the hot dog instead of cooking it in hot water only. I can imagine to try this sometime.
That looks delicious! It's kind of like a new fusion version of hotdogs with sauerkraut and onions. I actually very curious on your side dish you presented, is that the broccoli flowers you showed in the last video? It looks so beautiful and delicious! You have to do a video on it!
yes they are broccoli flowers that I bought at Union Square Farmer's Market in Manhattan. I made mul kimchi with it and a few more vegetables. It turned out great and very refreshing. I will do a video for it someday, thanks!
Oh! I know that hot dog vendor in Toronto! He kept me company when I was waiting for my sister to pick me up at the big bus station a couple years ago! I didn't have any cash to buy a hot dog from him, sadly, but he was very sweet and if I'm ever back there again I'm gonna try his food this time! =D
I didn't know that you used to live in Toronto...I live in Hamilton!! I love chili dogs, but now that I have seen this video, I'm pretty sure that I'm only going to eat my hot dogs with kimchi from now on. My mouth is watering!!
Love the way you scored the hotdogs. I cannot wait to make this. I have to find jarred kimchi first though. Your videos are so well done with detail. Thank You

I remember when I was at the county fair in the place I live there was a vendor that sold homemade kimchi hotdogs and some other Korean stuff. It was soooooo good it was like a whole other world.
Oh man that would be so good with an authentic German bratwurst and a bread roll! They often use sauerkraut (pickled cabbage) with it too!
Love love loved this recipe! Really easy to make. I used pork polish sausages in place of the beef hot dogs, and it still came out great.
even that cup of water looks delicious
