    Two months before the virus, I stayed downtown Guatemala, City at the central park. I hit all the bars and clubs for five nights. Closing time is eleven for all. Then about twenty cops fill the streets. I had a great time, with lots of great music. I had zero problems, but I never left a main street. The Katerina Club was my favorite. I felt safe during the day same as you. I'm still in SanPedro now.

      Well let’s be honest it is a lot more dangerous then coming from a privileged 1st world country. You can take steps to help minimize risks of bad things happening by only going about places in the daylight and staying at official real validated hotels and such. No hate just realistic. If your going to travel to countries like this you just have to really plan and be a smarter traveler and be more alert during your stay

    So glad to see positive stories about Guatemala city like this one. I lived in Guate for 3 years and was scared to go to the city at first. A local friend took me in and I was fortunate to experience another side of Guatemalan culture - urban, modern, edgy and full of interesting people. Its a shame that many folks don't get the chance to experience this and walk away from Guatemala with a bit of a narrow perspective on the country and culture.

      beauty in every city in the world, and on my personal opinion I like to see the beauty and positive things of every place I visit. Guatemala es bonita!

    I'm from Guatemala and I'm glad you guys were showing the city as it is. I've always lived in the city and yep it's safe, I mean it's dangerous but that's like in any part of the world. I would say that not wearing "flashy" stuff and not going out at night alone (or just not walking alone in areas you are not familiar with) it's enough to have a great time in here. People might tell you to avoid the city coz other rural areas might be more surprising and fun for tourists but there are interesting places around. And yeah some zones might not be safe but it depends what you're planing to do in there, as a foreigner you might want to avoid them but as a local maybe it makes more sense and you'll know what to do. Great video guys!

Earthquakes were the deal breakers for Acapulco. I am loving Queretaro, and only left USA, because it is too deadly, and rents, utilities are more than my retirement income. Guys , its great that you re ejoying the country and that you are not feeling unwelcome. But regardless of your perception , it IS dangerous. 15 minutes down the wrong street is a whole different world and the percentage of danger increases exponentialy although your perception might be the same as 15 minutes prior. Dont get me wrong it is a beautifull country, but my most sincere advice would be to travel the country with somebody who knows the country. If you do this you will ejjoy it even more. Remember as americans we arent attuned to certain things, as locals and we might overlook things by a whole lot. God Bless and have lots of fun!!

Also, if it is night time, you want to be selective to what and where to visit. Overall, it is not as dangerous as it is portrayed. I know that when I lived in MD, there were areas in Baltimore that you would not like to visit, much less at night time. I’m planning on going back this year, God willing!

      @byungsunkim7707 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fairydust-ky4oc Hi! Guatemala isn't the safest place on earth but it all depends on where in Guatemala you're traveling to. Better if you go with company (it's always the same in any country) still you won't regret the experience of being here.

    If I had listened to everyone saying it's too dangerous I would have never gone to:
    1. Peru
    2. Kenya
    3. Costa Rica
    4. Mexico City
    5. Dubai
    6. New York
    7. LA
    8. Chicago
    And the list goes on .. 👀
    Thanks for helping break the stigma! Guatemala and Thailand are next on my list!
