Since filming this video, we're excited to have found 100% waterproof shoes that LOOK and FEEL great!!👟 Check them out here and let us know what you think 😊crrnt.app/VESSI/pjlz_AwJ What are you bringing to Guatemala??
Nice job on not only telling us what to pack but showing your specific items and then action shots of the wearables. Then you move onto electronics and do the same. Really informative!
1) Currency exchange! I recommend doing it with the licensed institutions. 2) Health issues! With the minor ones, (upset stomach, common cold, etc.) you can even go to a pharmacy or drug store, with major ones, we have really great doctors, but you have to choose between state run or private. Obviously private ones you have to pay and they can be expensive, but you are better off.
I was in Antigua from Feb 21 to the 28th. I actually had to stay another week because I tested positive for Covid at the airport. So my advice to anyone is to get tested for Covid BEFORE you go to the airport.. It's not that expensive to get tested, so I would say do it 3 days or so before your day of departure. That way if it's positive you can make arrangements a little more stress free. The problem is that you could test positive for weeks or months after you are no longer contagious. So without a negative Covid test, you would need "Documentation or Recovery" from covid. That is a letter from a Doctor that says you recovered from Covid, The timing on that is 10 days from your first Covid test...which is why I suggest testing before your scheduled day.
We only travel with a carry on and a backpack each. I have clothes for every occasion! I can go from beach wear to night wear, summer to winter. I definitely have more clothes than Kenny because like Sarah I like to change up my outfits. but the clothes are small and only take up one side of my 😆 Kenny is like Eric just a few shorts and T-shirts. We definitely have everything we need in our luggages for our full time travel and for any climate we wish to visits. Great video!
@@EricandSarah ¡De nada! Veo que están aprendiendo español. I am learning English with you guys and the way both of speak, makes it easier. Thank you very much!
We have the ones we use linked in the description from Amazon, size medium (we’d guess they’re about 20L). They’re a bit cheaper quality than the ones you’ll find at an outdoors store but we’ve had no issues with them for the past year! Sea to Summit is another popular brand of higher quality, more expensive gear that also sells them :)
Hi, as with the first 'What would you bring...", I found this one very informative as to what I would bring to Guatamala. Let's go back to the Seventies with the Europe on $10 a day.... In this was all recomendations on what to bring. This guide was no where as exact as your quide is. My biggest is that I always bring too much...!!
We were there in January and February! If you plan on doing any hiking, I would still recommend a warm base layer because it was shockingly cold on the volcanoes (even when warm in towns).
Question!? How did you both book your trips to the Ruins and the Volcano? Did you book the tour at the Hostel? Or did to buy them before? I'm struggling trying to figure out Where to book hostels, For how long? How to book tours and also get hostel accommodations. My brother and I are only there from March 11th to the 17th so we need to fit in those 2 big things. I feel lost
Hey! We booked all tours once we were already in Guatemala. We did a bit of research into the best companies and then found the offices in Antigua/Flores. But you can usually book online through IG or WhatsApp if you prefer. If you have very limited dates, you may want to book ahead but otherwise there’s usually availability 😊 Hostels in Guatemala are also super helpful at booking any tours/transportation you need! As far as hostels, we usually research most recommended on blogs and try find their IG/website to book directly. Otherwise we use HostelWorld or Booking.com. Hope that helps!
Question! So you said it's better to bring your own sunscreen, bug repellent, etc. With it being a carry on, how did you get those larger bottles through security? Or are they 3oz? I'm backpacking with my little brother to Guatemala March 2023. This video is so helpful! We will be there for 6/7 days. Will the TSA 3oz.be enough? Is sunscreen that much more expensive in Guatemala? I also see you both have Ben's!!! Love the White Mountains in NH! Ticks...does Guatemala have Ticks with Lyme's disease like in Vermont/NH/Maine/ CT (New England in general)? I have so many questions 😅
Sunscreen and repellent aren’t really expensive, just in tourist areas like any other place. It’s very affordable and accessible for most things. Have fun.

Eric, what is your dress shirt ? It looks lightweight .
Hey there. I'm coming from the U.S. What's the best way to get or exchange my USD for Quetzales?
Hi there, which company did you both go to where some of the gears were included?
Wichos and Charlie’s! We have a full video on our channel about it if you want more details 😊 th-cam.com/video/uNQe8lmHlOE/w-d-xo.html
Did i miss it on your vids? No pollito campero?

Sorry we’re not sure we can help you with that!
Thanks
Did you need to be vaccinated?
👍👍👍
Hilarious how you say sunscreen is really really expensive. Not true at all. I just got spf70 waterproof for Q29. $4. Which is cheaper than U.S.
That’s awesome. Usually in tourist areas it can be expensive because only the gringos are using it haha
