  • HI guys today I will be sharing my version of Custard Mamon
    For the caramel:
    put 1/2 tbsp of sugar in each mamon tin
    For the Flan
    9 egg yolks
    1 whole egg
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 can condensed milk 395 g
    1 can evaporated milk 375 ml
    1 tsp vanilla
    For the mamon
    85 g cake flour
    75 g sugar
    1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    50 ml water
    1 tsp vanilla
    45 ml or 3 tbsp oil
    4 egg yolk
    For the meringue
    4 eggwhites
    1/4 tsp cream of tartar
    1/4 cup sugar

    Thanks for sharing! Made this with a few adjustments: used all purpose flour (sifted 85g all purpose flour with 15g corn starch, then measured the amount needed as per recipe) and ommitted the 1/4 cup sugar in the flan for a less sweet flan. Turned out well.

    You melt the sugar one by one each mold? It's simple and faster to melt the all the SUGAR on the stove? 😉

    Hello po again😊 ask ko lang po just in case there's left overs or di nagalaw pwede po ba ilagay sa fridge? and gaano katagal po ang shelf life nito?
    Inetrested po ako dahil minsan my kiddo needs to bring something sa class nila sa school to share merienda po. Like i'll do it the night before para next day dalhin na lng ng anak ko sa school nila naka packed na. Maraming Salamat po😊

      Best for 3 days but will last atleast 1 week if stored properly

      with the mamon you can make 10 with the flan you can make triple

      Vegetable oil, canola oil, corn oil is ok to use

    hi wat size po ngmamon tin? and for the caramel, is it required to cool down firts the caramel before adding the custard? ty

      +eunice kristine Aguilar 5 inch its not really, you should let it cool down a little bit, it doesnt have to be completely cool. You jist want to avoid the caramel seizing and or for the caramel just to float and mix with the custard

    Why melting the sugar in each tin separately? That takes a lot of time, could that be melted in one large pan then pour some in each tin???

      +Zeinab Hosny , its a risk that if you not do it in time the sugar will harden up before you put in in the tin, do what you think is easier for you
