I learnt about DRDO from Abhijit
When he compared it with DARPA which started same year 1958 and showed respective achievements with similar budget
It opened my eyes thanks to Abhijit
Turkey doesn't have just 1 company that produce drones. They have 3 companies. 1 state company and 2 private companies.
- Baykar company
- Vestel Company
- TAI company
Vestel company has a tactical uav called Vestel Karayel and they produce some kamikaze drones.
Vestel karayel is also exported to Saudis.
A state company TAİ has:
- ANKA (in Service in Turkey and exported to many other countries)
- Aksungur (In service in Turkey and exported to many other countries)
- Anka 3 stealth drone (under development.)
Not to mention the companies that manufacture kamikaze drones.

My friends father used to work in DRDO, so one day I asked him what is your dad's job profile in DRDO? John replies nothing maga, morning come to work sign, afternoon lunch go home to nearby DRDO quaters eat, sleep, wake up have tea at home come back to work sign, have another tea and 6 o clock chutti yay.
And this has been going on for ages in DRDO... And this was minority quota job.
Sir you were right India is right now on a track to develop various kinds of drones, but it would require atleast 5 more years to see them in reality . Various private companies are also developing different drones example Garuda aerospace's Vajra drone. I request you to make a separate video covering all the different weapons and technology showcase at aero India 2023 .
Developments in affordable GPS systems and electronic/computer controlled gyroscope have accelerated drone technology.

What you said about DRDO is right. What on earth are 25000 non-scientific staff doing on Research & Development. Cutting them and redirecting the money into research would push us a year ahead for every two years.

The components used are sourced from US, Europe which means reliance on imports. Not the way to go for a drone superpower.
since we're already late to the party it might be smarter to develop systems to render the drones useless. chances are it will cost less than development and manufacture of these drones, meanwhile we should look to acquire the tech from established players to have some capability of our own.

No, like in Russia the indian army seems (generals and co.) corrupt. Türkiyes Army was once also corrupt and did not allow to resarch new technolgies. I am sure Indians are also able to develop as fast as Türkiye or Iran.

Sir good analysis. After Kargil War how many justification and reason will be given to develop Drone Technology, Kaveri Engine. Stop giving excuses of budget. We have talented young generation who never get right opportunity and have to travel abroad who benefit at the end of the day.

Turkey isn't a drone superpower by any means. Their best drone is only effective in the battlefield if the enemy is a sitting duck. Israel is the real drone superpower.

I would say the US is the real drone superpower. They have most sophisticated, multipurpose, combat proven & stealth drones.
Then you are in for a surprise my friend. India is far behind these countries in drone technology , although we are catching up.
Bro drones target logistics and logistics are a sitting ducks,the drones are used to drain the opponent out of resources while the conventional army fights.
In fact Turkish drones look like copies of Israeli ones

Self-sabotag mindset of Indian bereaucracy and commission earning mindset of congress is real villain of Indian development. They don't want anyone to enter this unaudited area.
Turkey has the advantage of being a nato member hence access to western technology which India has to develop on its own. Nowadays Turks are experiencing difficulties obtaining advanced technology because of their ambitions of recreating Ottoman Empire dreams.

I don't understand what the hell we were doing after independence. We can't even make a facking drone. Seriously in every field we are behind. Even country like turkey can make cheap affordable high quality drones.
