    Great video. Your channel is growing quickly. Nice. I like your attitude towards riding. We must take responsibility if we want to survive in two wheels. I don’t watch those road rage channels.

      I appreciate the feedback. I like the mental side of riding quite a bit and a cool and level head is always the best approach. We are exposed enough as it is. The rage gets a ton of clicks but play stupid games win stupid prizes as the saying goes.

    Good advice I’m not holding the front brake at a stop. I got rear ended didn’t have my brake on almost knocked me off the bike but the bike suffered no damage at all just push me out into the intersection though

      Making sure you aren't on the front at a stop is a good little habit to get into. Definitely a nice little riding tip. Interesting to hear about your experience. Could have been different if you had the front squeezed on for sure. Thanks for the support and comment!

    Lots of anticipating, looking at mirrors, checking dead spot, adapting speed to the road conditions, keeping the distance from the cars in front and around, not staying long in drivers dead spots, checking what drivers front wheel is doing tells a lot as well as if they are noticing us with their head direction/looks..... Motorcycle is a big responsibility and requires our senses to work cohesively. By adapting to the world around us we become better riders and enjoy more with decreased possibilities of surprises.

      For me part of the joy of riding is how all immersive it is when done right. In a weird way many things become automatic but the mind must always be crisp, alert, and planning so that the automatic actions can be executed immediately and safely.

      Happened to me 2 days ago, & i was in a bright blue SUV. Guess the driver on my left still didn't see me before switching over. I was sensing it, because he was too scare to pass a bus, so when i was side by side with him, i was prepared. Braked hard to avoid him, even though i have a dashcam.

    Sometimes growing elsewhere but here in the States and ESPECIALLY riding where they split the lane/filtering taught me A LOT about anticipation of stupidity of anyone around my motorcycle. Here in the States though the riding exam is the example for the rest of the world... Like who would have thought to.make you ride over a 2x4?? But yet again we ride over railtracks don't we?? God bless OUR country.

    Just came across your channel. Enjoying the content as a fellow rider. I am thinking of a change up to the XR, Multistrada or Ninja 1000sx. More so the first two then the Ninja :) How are you liking the XR? Going to watch your cold weather riding gear video, as it gets pretty cold up here during the winter months. Stay safe my friend.

    • @ThrottleBackRubberDown
      @ThrottleBackRubberDown  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for the support and feedback. I really love the XR. The biggest deciding factor after putting quite a few miles on both the XR and a 1200S MTS would be engine preference in my opinion. All things being equal, I would go with the V-twin MTS if I had to buy a 3rd. I really wanted to own this BMW and I genuinely love it. I have a soft spot for the Ducati twin but they have moved on when it comes to the MTS. I am not a fan of the new front wheel on the MTS. For me, I was never going to off road that bike and I don't think most people will. They are chasing the wrong segment in my mind. The XR fits my riding needs and style and in the end the engine is "better" I just miss the sound of my big MTS twin, hahaha...but truth be told, you can't go wrong either way and you only live once so do it big and enjoy it!

    • @StrawDragon
      @StrawDragon 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThrottleBackRubberDown Thank you for that. I have a Street Triple RS now that its marginal comfortable when riding for any distance. I am hoping the XR would solve that for me.

    • @ThrottleBackRubberDown
      @ThrottleBackRubberDown  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@StrawDragon It would for sure. My Street Triple RX was always so harsh no matter how I set up the suspension. The leap to either the XR or MTS will give you all day comfort and you won’t give up anything on the sporty side of things. Once you go in on an expensive bike like the MTS or XR it is hard to go back so be careful 😂

    You always have to assume that everyone is coming into your lane at all times. I try to let things go now, but there are still times where it's just way to close of a call and I need to confront the driver. They don't learn if they don't get told what they did wrong .
