FYI this method disables nanite and lumen, but an alternative fix is disabling RIVA (usually main cause) from MSI Afterburner and updating your graphic card’s drivers might help as well.
Very...very....very thanks..... I have been looking for this solution for a long time and could not find it. You managed to help me. Thank you very much!
It actually fixes the thing and it is ready for work but there is a problem in it. It directly affects the lighting system. And it produces unrealistic lights that looks not good...
yea but some graphics cards are having problems with running unreal engine with directx12. So it´s kinda of a temporary solution until it gets fixed or until the user buys a new gpu. also i wouldn´t say it´s the whole reason of using Unreal engine 5.
@@AgentYetiYT Yeah you are right.. actually not some :( all 30 series cards. Also read on unreal slackers people started to report 10 and 20 series as well.
For me, it was MSI Afterburner that caused the problem. It works fine with UE4, but not with 5. I think any software that runs on the top of the UE screen will cause a similar issue, I am not 100% sure though.
@@AgentYetiYT Make sure Rivatuner (the software that comes with Afterburner) is turned off as well. If it didn't work, maybe you have to switch to DX11.
Okay, and then how? I did it like on video, great, now I can at least upload the project. And then the render without Directx 12 is disgusting, it seems to calculate the light incorrectly. How can it be further, the problem is not solved?
umm i don´t work for epic games it´s not my job to solve the problem. the software is crashing for some gpus when using directx12 and all i´m doing in this video is showing people how to switch to directX11 so they can be able to use the software. Epic games are the ones who are supposed to fix this issue in their software.
As far as I know, nanites, shadows and reflection work correctly in 12, simple switching does not allow working with scenes normally. Correct it here if necessary, I am learning a current. I read on the forums and solved the problem. That's what I did: - - increased the time for GPU timeout by 60/by 120 - enabling GPU Lightmass - restarting drivers - reinstalling the engine - limit FPS to 30 - delete Afterburner But I couldn't delete it, because I have an awesome video card warming up and I have undervolting there with the cooler setting. In short, I just closed it, the settings continued to work and it started to log in normally 😂😂😂
I´m sorry but sadly dx12 is not working for some gpus. i couldn´t find a solution where you can keep dx12 enabled. maybe the devs are supposed to fix this problem but until then i´ve been using unreal engine with dx11 :(
Please don't forget to like if you found this video helpful thank you!

sry to hear that i don´t understand how this problem still exists i haven´t used unreal engine for a long time
@@AgentYetiYT its okay. You still helped some parts of it tho so thank you :)
Cra el pibe cra
The problem is that it doesn't even let me create a project,When I click on unreal i get the error.
that´s odd you must have a different issue then
