      I know why you quit Unity. Unity is too much programming and don't have time to put the story inside the game.
      This one is almost the same some visual coding works and don't work.

    To anyone who has more then one level in their game, if you promote the level name to a variable and then make it public, you can change what level you go to next every time you use the actor. It's under the "default" section in the "details" tab. Hope this helps 🙂

    Thank you so much. I've been struggling these last few days with trying to figure out level swapping. I was trying to LOAD levels and not OPEN them. This has helped me.

    Hello have you tried this on UE5 VR ? I can't get any examples of it to work in VR but reg 3rd person works great

    this looked confusing at first, but it helped a lot that you put an event box to get back to the first level. other tutorials weren't showing that. i think i just don't know how to work the scripts yet in the way they're connected visually and i need to learn the unreal library in general.

    if the player had a health bar or picked up a new weapon would he keep everything after switch level or is it a new character upon level loading?

    I need help! I do literally the same as the tutorial but when the character collides with the plane the Level 2 load on top of the Level 1? What I'm doing wrong?

    for me this isnt working. when the 2nd level loads the 1st level is still there underneath it. it is as if both levels are merged together.. im very confused. maybe i need a close level command and then open the new level?

    For me it s not working, saying "Multiple directional lights are competing to be the single one used for forward shading, translucent, water or volumetric fog. Please adjust their ForwardShadingPriority. As a fallback, the main directional light will be selected based on overall brightness." Fix?

    Question, is it possible, when creating a trigger, that I can give it new refrences of scenes. Depends on which level it is on, so that I doesn't have to always create another trigger everytime for each level? Like for example, I create the trigger exactly you showed, but whenever I have put it out on the level, and it happens in the content Browser I have like 4 levels, I could just go to the object, click and choose which level between 4 others I want to load in to. So to summerize my question, is it possible to create a single trigger which I can just click on and then choose which level I want the player to load into?

    is there anyway that when going into a the second map you can still see outside the first map. I am working on a city and would be easier to load into another area for the buildings

    Im using the standart VRPawn, i have set the world settings to standart VR game. My project has many levels and i have put PlayerStart in a position inside a level, although whenever i play the project and a new level is opened through interactions, the player is not placed where i placed the player start. What is the problem?

    how do I attach this to an enemy? My basic idea was that when the player would run into an enemy, you will be loaded into another level where you fight the enemy alone to prevent any problems. Once the enemy is defeated, I am loaded back into the previous level where the enemy has disappeared.

    Hiya Buvesa, nice tut! How would one do this if the game will be priority Widget based? My game is for mobile and will be primarily widgets. Any advice there? Thx !

      If your game is primarily widget-based, you can still switch levels using the "Open Level" node, but you will need to manage the widget state yourself. One way to do this is to create a master widget that handles the display of all other widgets, and add a widget component to your player character or pawn. When you switch levels, you can destroy all of the current widgets and then create the appropriate widget for the new level and add it to the master widget.
      Here's a high-level overview of how this could work:
      Create a master widget that will be responsible for displaying all other widgets in the game. This widget should be persistent across levels.
      Add a widget component to your player character or pawn. This component will be used to display the appropriate widget for the current level.
      When you switch levels using the "Open Level" node, destroy all of the current widgets using the "Remove From Parent" node.
      Create the appropriate widget for the new level and add it to the widget component on your player character or pawn using the "Add Child" node.
      If you need to pass data between levels, you can use global variables or save data to a file.
      It's worth noting that managing widget state manually can be challenging and can lead to bugs and performance issues if not done carefully. You may want to consider using a more robust framework, such as a state management library, to help you manage widget state more easily.
      Hard for me to cover in one youtube comment but this gives you an broad outline to google further on :)

    Here's an advanced question! When jumping between levels with different cameras, how do you get the camera to switch to a different camera between levels? such as level 1 would have a top-down camera! level 2 has a third person camera, how do you get the camera from level 1 to switch to level 2's camera?

    It all working. But. I have save-load screen on game starting. This screen loaded again when Character step in new location(level). It connected to EventBeginPlay. How to hide this start widget on new level start? I can't see how it resolve.

    anyone know if for a much large map would it be instantanious like this/ want to make an open world game and i feel like i can just overlap the maps so the player is loaded and spawned dynamicaly????, and then use that for any trigger points to start loading the mext "level" and part of the open world map. is that how it works or would that like require a loading screen/ hide it by making the player run around a mountain or elevator tunnel or something while it loads in the backround. can i even do that on unreal? super new to game design.

    works great, except the whole map gets transported
    would you know why? i tried moving the plate to different kinds of positions but still the same, is there a work around?

    Say level 2 is a combat scenario, once you defeat that level/combat how can you go back to *next to* the trigger back at the previous level?

    Hi there! Great tutorial! I have a question, is there a way to add a button prompt, so like walking up to a door and having to press the 'A' button to move to the next level rather than it just automatically transitioning when you move into the trigger. I'm making a classic Resident Evil style game.

      You can use 'enable input' and 'disable input' nodes or booleans to connect that up ;:)

    If I want to create a confirmation button? For example, when I get close to the box, I press "E" and a confirmation window appears, confirming if I want to change the level, yes or no, what should I do?

    Hi! Can I ask you why, when switching level, my level blueprint doesnt update? Example: I have ref for my level in my starting one (I'll call it lobby), and others in my second one (Server). Switching from lobby to server doesn't update the level blueprint of the server one.

    Hey there. Another great video. Thank you. Just needing some help if you could. I'm using a complex template as my base mode in UE5.2, the Modern RPG one. When I change levels as per this tutorial, it then defaults back to the new level's character and game mode. Is there an easy way to maintain the character and game mode? Also, how do we take our inventory to the new level? I did migrate all the other assets, maps etc to this template also. The only other issue i will have is, the new level has its own character that has been programmed to open doors etc. I'm new to UE5 and am learning blueprints.
