    I saw an old video that I had made, and this lick jumped out at me as something that is pretty simple but effective. Mateus Asato and Guthrie do this sort of thing quite often, here's some ideas for how you can get this into your playing and expand on the concept!
    The presets I'm using here will be added to the folder "Eric Clean" and "Eric Lead 35"
    Please leave a comment if you find this type of preset build useful, so that I know to keep making them!

    only if you wanted, you could buy me a coffee!
    Get my PADs bundle here: www.paypal.com... (this folder will grow, and I'd encourage you to ask for different keys/songs and stuff that might suit this type of preset?)
    I've decided to make it possible to grab both my Helix/HX Stomp bundles (the expression bundle with freeze presets has always been separate) together for £5 - www.paypal.com... - I will then email you a link to both bundles!
    Try my general patches for Helix or HX Stomp in this bundle for £3 using this link - I will then send out the patches! www.paypal.com...

    While I like Mateus Asato's pentatonic shredding, it's his voice leading that I'm in love with

    • @TheLochs
      @TheLochs ปีที่แล้ว

      Can you explain further on this? Do you mean when he improvises?

    • @MrAwesomeSaucesome
      @MrAwesomeSaucesome ปีที่แล้ว

      Would you mind elaborating? I'm not super clear on what voice leading means :)

    • @emgee1257
      @emgee1257 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheLochs What he means is the way how Mateus chooses notes in his melodies/harmonies. He basically creates melodies/harmonies that are close with each other by using inversions and/or common tones.

      @troysmithfr ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrAwesomeSaucesome Every note in a chord should have a place to go. Typically they move by steps, but sometimes small leaps are required (bass can do whatever you want it to, though.) Knowing this allows you to make any chord progression sound good and flow together.

    Thxs this lick is simple but very hard when played fast it's one of the pentatonic licks that has been tricky when I play it using alternate picking its now 3 weeks practicing it but hopefully I will be able to play it fast

    Love the little jokey references tossed in - "like Wayne Rooney in a retirement home" (I had to look him up!). Very cool economy picking patterns; I struggle with that but will try to work on it - it looks so, well, economical!

    Pentatonic maybe easy for running up and down, but it's extremely hard for shredding and at the same time sounds so cool. Check out Eric Johnson!

    Много лишнего играешь. Твоя мелодия обрастает твоими упражнениями, которые ты заучил. И это превращает твою игру в нагромождение. Использую упражнения в соляге и будет нормально. Не загрязняй мелодию и не обижайся на меня. По делу говорю.
