I’m a huge guitar nerd especially in the Prog/shred genre so there are lots of great players in that realm. But Mateus seems like he can do it all but really concentrates on making sure everything stays melodic. That’s not easy to do. Phenomenal talent this dude.

Bruno Mars sure knows how to choose the best guitarists for his band . His current guitarist (lukexskywalker) is a beast on guitar . 2 very different styles but outstanding just the same .
He’s ahead of our time much as EVH was ground breaking. Any guitarist knows when he was sitting down making it sing was top tier guitar skill. His party tricks looked cool but those chords and harmonics🥹

I literally was just binge-repeating your solo segment of this Japan tour from some random TH-camr after Bruno Mars just finished his tour at Manila (never had the chance to see it live, so I had major FoMO). Sucks that you didn't play at the Philippines, but would suck much harder if YOU played in the Philippines and I DIDN'T get the chance to watch you live.
