Extremely beautiful area. So close to everything in the area at the end of the video. It amazes me how you can be on one main artery with intersection mayhem and as soon as you get away from those areas it is 'catch your breathe and brain calmer' environment. TY Johnny
Not as good as they used to be some 35 years ago without any crazy drivers around.
Went to the Sunday Variety down at the St Lawrence Market a couple weekends ago ... a vintage-and-everything retro market under a big white tent, just south of the market. It was fun.
Good morning, mates. Have a great weekend & stay safe! 👋😎💂♂️🇬🇧
Amazing video Johnny
good morning everyone
Gorgeous footage captured camera work !! .. thanks again Jhonny and bless Saturday afternoon from Montreal QC ..
Good Morning and nice stream
Good old Toronto rush hour. Wonder what’s going on at the Hockey Hall of Fame? The Novotel entrance was where I had my first kiss many years ago. I’m still very close friends with the girl who I shared the kiss with. Happy weekend Johnny and everyone!
I'm literally afraid to drive my car out my driveway nowadays.. Living in Brampton is so dangerous to be in traffic for so long, but it's worse every day..
I love toronto very much❤❤
Good morning
Great video. Those drivers have no respect for pedestrians.
I can't blame them though - it's not like there are consequences for the way they drive. Yet Toronto Police continue to focus on cyclists around High Park.
@@Genious. A bi ngo post. Yeh, there's no price being paid. And APPARENTLY no mental activity making drivers realize "this sucks, why do I let myself become a participant!!!!"
I was at University and Front every week day back in 2012
More themes for Johnny Strumbes😅😅
It is called bumper to bumper traffic jam. Every big city has it.
Traffic congestion is not an excuse or reason for blocking marked crossings and intersections. It's a mix of selfishness and incompetance that creates those situations.
@@JohnnyStrides and lack of enforcement. I agree, no intersections should ever be blocked no matter how congested traffic is, and for heaven's sake don't block bike lanes either. The city could make a lot of money 'educating' drivers and cyclists (ignoring stop signs, red traffic lights).
@@koenv5740 I remember last year, every intersection in the business district would have 2, sometimes 3 police there because of people blocking the intersections. But they spent most of their time on their phones and when they did look up, the most they would do was shake their head in disapproval.
If only they had the authority to DO something about these drivers. Like if there were a way to fine them... But I guess there isn't.
@@Genious. the law on blocking intersections is crazy. First, I point out the good practice from the ON driver's handbook: "When you approach an intersection on a main road, and the intersection is blocked with traffic, stop before entering the intersection and wait until the traffic ahead moves on. This does not apply if you are turning left or right."
Next, the Ontario Highway Traffic Act s. 145: "Blocking intersection
145. (1) The council of a municipality may by by-law prohibit a driver or street car operator approaching, at an intersection, a traffic control signal showing a circular green or green arrow indication from entering the intersection unless traffic in front of him or her is moving in a manner that would reasonably lead him or her to believe he or she can clear the intersection before the signal indication changes to a circular red indication."
I have not yet found a by-law about his in Toronto. Unless there is one, you can block an intersection which is ridiculous.
@@koenv5740 Christ, one more reason to get out of this city earlier than I planned.
5:28 Typical. Big construction signs placed on the sidewalk, obstructing pedestrians, to warn drivers. (like drivers don't know there's construction)
Door dash workers everywhere
To me the value of this video is to show people elsewhere that Toronto is NOT "a better option".Practically everything Toronto has can be found elsewhere without the motorized idocy. Now I get that people who began here and are reluctant to escape remain. But anyone else? Let Strides convince you to look elsewhere, even where you are.
Looking for the Chat section, okay I’m too late Have a good weekend all
Have a grreat weekend!
Hi
🇨🇦
18:09 no they're in traffic there's nothing they can do about it. Lol
I’ll never understand why people drive into downtown knowing that they will sit bumper to bumper. You and everyone walking out paced vehicles by miles
Vancouver drivers are just as bad.
You complain waaaaay too much. Not a good look
No, he complains the EXACT right amount. But the irony of you chiming in with a complaint about there being too much complaining...
And stop using catch phrases like 'not a good look'. Do better.
See what I did there?
Toronto? I could've swore this is New Delhi.
Toronto has been taken over by India since the pandemic subsided. Sad really that we’ve somewhat lost our identity.
@@johnsmith67931what is our identity, exactly? Canada, and especially Toronto, is a nation of immigrants. Our identity is the world. Cheers!
@@johnsmith67931 I'm not a fan of the mass immigration either, but need I remind you that white people do not own Canada and immigrated from other parts of the world as well?
Some people do NOT seem to have issues with Italian-Canadians,Polish-Canadians,Tibetian-Canadians etc,but seem to have issues with immigrants from India(New Delhi.) Interesting.
