#4 The cammer is definitely to blame. You stay in lane when leaving a roundabout, you cut across the Mini who was in the correct lane. Some of these cammers really need to learn to drive and stop blaming it on the other drivers.

where does it say anything about 2 on 2 off in the HWC though, its became a thing, but it doesnt actually say it anywhere. there isnt any markings and there isnt much that makes it the case. "most appropriate" is all it says and that doesnt clear anything up unless there are lines showing you whice way lanes continue on. considering lanes are marked to go 3rd exit from lane one and all sorts depending on the roundabout, then lane one at times exits into all lanes at times as well.
appropriate seems to be, 1st exit for things before 180 or straight and second for anything to the right so no one can argues. or get actual marking like they do on most other roundabout now

Read the highway code. ( Rule Section 129 )
You can cross a double white line if the vehicle in front of you is traveling 10mph or less and it is safe to do so.
In regards as to where the truck crossed, he could absolutely see down that road well enough and long enough to mitigate hazard if a vehicle was to come the other way. (especially since the road is a 30mph)
The only thing that was bad about that event is that the truck didn't leave enough space between them and the cyclist.
Being a good road user is also about fixing your mis-understandings for the benefit of all. Not just yourself.

    • @andrewwilloughby7878

clip 2 and 4 are in the same situation, 2 opposing view points and think that both are right...how??? how can it be so dificult to navigate a roundabout???
what is the cam car beepeing at? he is in the wrong lane for where he was trying to go....the markings on the road say that much at least....
clip 6 - the lorry overtakes safely, the road is clear, but the cyclist somehow thinks is a good ideea to veer towards the middle of the road. how is that safe? i thought you should keep as close to the kerb as possible when overtaken.

The little girl in the car @57:00 😂 also what annoys me is the extra sympathy we give old people driving. Just because they’re old doesn’t mean they should be treated with extra compassion, most of them shouldn’t be on the road!! They and the very young are the main reasons why car insurance has gone up so much.

#38 Since the rules on priority have changed, rule 170 states "give way to pedestrians crossing or waiting to cross a road into which or from which you are turning" so i would say the bicycle was mostly in the correct. I will admit its a hard rule change to get used to.

Preserve your criticism for the moronic car driver who recklessly drove out in front of the oncoming coach which was big enough for someone even with poor eyesight to see.

#4 Clough Rd roundabout - lane 2 on the approach is an ahead lane as well as a right turn lane. There are no road markings or lane board to say otherwise. The camper was at fault for changing into his lane without looking.

Cars getting angry with a lorry is like Godzilla getting angry with a cat! Give way and live to see another day! This is from someone who’s never been in an accident! In 41 years! I mean what is the point of getting into a fight with the Hulk! You will die and he won’t! A couple of months ago I had to use a taxi. Oh my god I thought I was going to die! He was texting while driving, he didn’t have his seatbelt on, screeching to a halt on roundabouts, swerving in and out of traffic, and insisted on turning around in his seat to talk to us. I reported him to the police and to his taxi company! He was fired off thank god!

#6 The lorry driver looks like he’s doing less than 10mph and, with the height of his cab, it appears he has good forward vision. The criticism may be that he’s too close to the cyclist prior to the overtake. It is intimidating and perhaps that’s why the cyclist has the hump.

  • @puritan7473
    @puritan7473 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

People need to learn, a mini roundabout does not give you automatic right to only look right and drive through expecting everyone else to give way - otherwise it should just be a regular junction. There is another rule on roundabouts everyone seems to forget - give way to people already on the roundabout (even if they are coming from the left, if they get on first, it is their right of way). In this case (19.50) they entered at the same time so it would likely be 50/50 although I would blame the white car more, however, most problems come from people just charging through even though they have every right to pull out if you have not entered the roundabout.

If you think the risk of a cyclist passing by slow moving or stopped traffic is the same as a 2t car speeding past a cyclist then you're mistaken.
Go stand on Crewe station platform as a through train comes past. Scary.
Now wait until one stops and walk past. Not as scary at all.
