1. Front Bumper Build Quality is very bad.
2. Infotainment lacks Apple Car Play & Android Auto, also the resolution and maps are also not great.
3. Reverse Parking Sensors not even on ZX Varient.
4. Body Build Quality is not as previous Honda City's.
5. All wheel Disk Brakes should be offered atleast on top end ZX variant as its rival Yaris is offering it as standard.
6. Stiff Rear Suspension problem is also there, always makes noise on speedbreakers and bumpy roads.
7. Adjustable headrests should be made available on lower varients also, as its available on ZX varient only.
8. Absence of EBA (Electronic Brake Assist).
9. 6 Airbags should be made standard across the range like the Yaris.
10. Features like Ventilated Seats and Hands Free Boot Opening should be made available as its already available on the Verna.
Overall Honda City is a great package and my Personal Favourite Car but these are the Cons I found in it.

@@noelmenachery1274 corolla is a D segment car and honda city is a C segment car.
D segments have more more features and prices go to about 20 lakhs..
C segments cost about 15-16 lakhs for top variants..

Using a city on a daily basis, i think there’s a lot to improve in the ride quality side and NVH levels. The suspension is pretty stiff and almost every little pebble is felt inside. Having said that, ride is a compromise to be made, to have a car that handles and corners this good. The steering feedback was not as good initially but having upgraded to 195/60 from the stock 175/65 was a blessing for the grip and feedback. Thats an upgrade every owner should go for as despite not being any beast, the city is no sheep either!

The cons i found after using this generation city for almost 3 years are,
1. The interior quality is poor. Rattles in some places.
2. They can do with more better ride quality without compromising on the handling department.
3. Puny tyres. The petrol engine is shouting for 195 and above section.

my 3rd gen city had better quality than current 4th gen
Handling was better in my City too
Tyre capability of 4th gen is a bit more, 215 being max size , in 3rd gen 195 was max

Biggest con- Which most of the Indian buyers don't observe is no rear seat headrest. Only on the top end variant it's available.
Better go for VW Vento than a Honda.

Arkabhi Roy: I own a 2008 Honda City ZX VTEC and everything is just manual save for the electronically controlled ORVMs that has, again, manual folding. Else, I’m still very satisfied with the car while commuting around the city.
I was looking forward to switching to the new Honda City because, well, nobody didn’t REALLY censure this car save for the nitpicks as compared to Verna. In fact, most people actually advised me to go with City instead of Verna taking into account their performance and build quality in the long run. But few groups (like in this comment thread and mechanics at Honda service Centre) are not really satisfied with the new gen. In fact, mechanics advised me to stick with the older gen as its pure driving pleasure compared to the tech savvy new Honda City.
Regardless, I’m not a fan of Verna AT ALL and I’ll never switch to any Hyundai regardless of how much better it has gotten (or, will get in the future) over the Honda. Instead, I might switch to the VW Vento or wait until the next year.

I don’t feel led is worth buying it doesn’t stands out on roads due to poor beaming delivery on road and it doesn’t travel much distance either so I feel to remove led in future models as it is only for styling but doesn’t stands out on practicality as led lights aren’t that great

How about the build quality, the sheet metal thickness. I believe it is not as good as the hyundai verna or the Toyota Yaris, vento or rapid is in a different league though

It does not get rear parking sensors even in the top trim VX as company fitted u need to purchase it aftermarket
You do get rear parking sensors now, they provided it after the 20th anniversary edition one

No doubt its the best looking with most spacious cabin space with best performing & efficient Petrol engine in Sedans.
Very Pricy or Overpriced by 1.5 lacs. But lacks in that strong german Built Quality, those smartphone features Apple or Android carplay, inferior MID, hands free auto boot opener & absence of disc brakes at the rear and Ventilated Driver Seat.
Thats the reason its the least selling from the most popular 3 Sedans Ciaz & Verna.
According to me Honda CITY for SPACIOUS Cabin, Hyundai VERNA for SPORTY LOOKs & loaded FEATURES, CIAZ for PRICE and Toyota YARIS for SAFETY & RELIABILITY.

Love the City in every manner except for the infotainment system which is really bad.....speakers are good
ground clearance not much which causes the car to scrap its belly on every speed breaker small or big .and this happens more when u have five people on board with luggage .
The distance between the gear rod and the drivers left hand rest seems little too far..
I think this guy was like the least enthusiastic presenter ever.. it seems like doesn't know anything about cars.. and he's just memorized the script that was given to him... He just doesn't seem to be in a natural element to be a car enthusiast or a presenter... Faisal is the best... #bringfaisalback

The infotainment system feels aftermarket and does not support apple car play or android auto.
The touchscreen controls for the AC may look good but are difficult to operate while driving and the tyres feel a bit too skinny. These reasons make me feel that I should have gone for the Verna 😔😔

Definitely built not comparable to vw.....go over bad roads.... noise gets into cabin.....
The chassis maybe good,but the city has light build quality when compared to a VW.
U r right.. not that noise on bad roads but on high bass music the inside interior plasic vibrates too much and makes an "err err" kind of sound.. except that no complaints on build..
It doesn't have Android Auto and Apple Car Play I guess.

Almost all the Honda cars sold in India come with fixed rear head rests which is not at all good for long distance travel .Honda and Hyundai are in this league , they are not offering adjustable rear seat head rests in most if their variants but available only in top end variant .Better choose Ford , Suzuki or VW as they are providing adjustable rear head rests .
