A new consol top plate is nice, it actually has cup holders so I don't have to sandwich my cup between the seat and the console. When Ford sent me a questionnaire after I bought the car and asked for suggestions, I told them how about cup holders. That was 34 years ago and I guess it fell on deaf ears.
You can double the value of your 1979 to 1984 Mustang or Capri by replacing the TRX tires and wheels with almost anything else. They were on my Pace Car when I bought it in 1987 and oh I hated those tires. After going through all of the brakes including replacing the proportioning valve any one of the 4 TRX tires could lock up in a panic stop. Once I got a set of new take off 1989 GT wheels and tires it was a huge improvement in braking, cornering and acceleration.
My 86 GT convertible just turned over 100 K last year. It is mostly all original. I upgraded the exhaust headers, rear gear and a couple other minor things.
@@1Rude86 I went with the 3.73 because I know what how the car will react with it because I used that rear gear in my 1990 as well. Its probably a little higher on the rpm that the 3.55 but it shots off the light much quicker. So I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Both are a good mod for a foxbody.
@@TheBirdman1966 well the end goal is slap a on3 kit on it and shoot for 400whp but in the meantime I wanna get useable power out of it I wanna good gear ratio that doesn’t change the overall drive feel to drastically
Done almost all of these! Thanks Bill

This is gonna sound crazy, but I think they built hundreds of thousands of four-eyes and they somehow get ignored

4 out of these 5 items aren’t really upgrades… Just things to replace due to old age.
