The game seems rather interesting. I will consider backing you guys. I like the graphics and the structure
I do like the idea cause i am a huge fan of games where you run a cult for eldritch gods. Case and point one of my favourite games is “shadows of the forbidden gods”.
It does seem like you took a lot of visual inspiration from darkest dungeon cause honestly i thought this game was made by their group at first cause i didn’t know their name.
Ill be honest the gameplay didn’t fully click for me from what i saw it might just be i didn’t understand what you were saying but the jist i got was do roguelite runs reminiscent of slay the spire with some kind of turn based combat. Then go back to the cult lair to build it up.
Kind of hard to say how much i will like it until i play some of it. Although i will say at least personally it will live and die based on how immersive it is and how fleshed out these dead gods are as both a mechanic and thematicly. Ideally with the 2 being used together synergisticly to elevate them above what they are by themselves.
i like the concept and will look into the price points of backing later when i got time.
At the very least i hope this goes well for you guys.
I definately see this game taking the idea of darkest dungeon, but instead of asking you to gather adventurers to defeat the bad cult guy and be asked to consider your morality, it asks that you are instead THE cult leader and you have to corrupt this world?
I think the idea certainly intrigues me, a game like this feels less about directly combating foes, and more so politically based, as a cult leader you want to spread your influence over the city and you make deals to spread that influence
I'm excited to see how it goes and I do hope that it gets the funding for it, cause I think cults in general are an idea that haven't been properly explored, I feel cults should have more depth like they do irl, being money schemes that manipulate lonely people, or dig dirt on people and manipulate them.
That my basic idea though, the game should be what the Devs would enjoy it being, and what they're passionate about exploring, good luck to ya devs
I like the trailer and the gameplay looks like it could be neat, but you're taking heavy "inspiration", in that you barely changed up some artwork to call it different. Apart from that it does look cool, the art is really good.
Reverse Darkest Dungeon? Color me interested.
