Well said....Apple stuff is good but WAY over priced. I got a $50 set of blue tooth headphones with noise canceling on sale, and they sound good enough for me.
They're not high quality in technology. It's a brand premium price. They have a nice physical design and make you look cool to other similar people which is what you're paying for.
The majority of the $150 price tag goes into marketing. That's why only $10 is actually spent on making the product. If it weren't for marketing beats would probably cost $50 at most.

You’re just not gonna find headphones that are $100 with Bluetooth, active noise canceling, and decent sound quality. They’re all going to cost $300 to $400
This is a good video. Ever since Apple purchased Beats, I think their products have improved in almost every way. They sound MUCH better than before, but most Beats headphones are still overpriced!
Any beats ive ever had have been just pretty good headphones. When you spend $400 or $500 on headphones, they should be a lot better than pretty good. Im happy because ive always gotten them when theyre dirt cheap (compared to og price) and it becomes pretty obvious like the solo3 is not worth 200 much better at 100 (tbh thats still a stretch) and the studios are no where near worth 350. People who got those say the solos are better, and while they might be slightly better, they’re not even close to $150 more let alone costing $350 in the first place. Im happy I can say at least they dont almost sound as bad as they used to. Pretty good when on sale, dogshit at full price
Same sis. My first pair broke ;-; (edit - I didn’t break them they randomly stopped working like I couldn’t hear my music anymore.) but I got new ones now
People are like “beats only take $9 to make but they sell them for $200?! Are they serious?!” Okay but are you going to make them yourself? No, so quit complaining. If you don’t like it, nobody is forcing you to buy them.
I just bought a pair of beats studio 3's. Not because I was expecting the sound to be great for the 350 dollar price tag, but because they were on sale for 200. I feel like that is where they should be priced and for that I am happy.

So to add a little more to the story here, when Beats were originally setting up ties with Monster, Monster made a huge mistake which is what eventually lead to the partnership split. The meeting where they were setting up the contracts, the owner of Monster sent his Son who was highly regarded by the owner in contract negotiations, so he went but only by himself. Beats however, were represented by Dre and an absolute ton of lawyers specialists in contract negotiations. So literally you had 1 bloke on 1 side of the table and a dozen people on the other side. What came out of this meeting was basically, what happened. A clause where Beats could break free after 2/3 years. They then split and set up a similar contract with HTC before then setting up the deal with Apple, obviously Apple are bit more... well let’s just say they seem like the type of company that would “own” any negotiations they are involved with. The rumour mill is on full circle now and what we are hearing is that Apple want to make their own set of premium over ear headphones and then dissolve the beats company altogether, this after using their technology in the beats solo pro’s with their A1 chip etc, they just “own” it.
great video. some corrections: 10 yrs, not 12 - Monster did not make any headphones before Beats - Lady Gaga's was Heartbeats not Heartbuds - it's Executive, not exclusive headphones.

I got a pair of the Beats Pro's for only 149.99 because I got the discontinued Lil Wayne red and black ones. they are nice for relaxing but I leave it to my studio monitors to get a good clear picture of the sound. Great Video!
I have the Sony MDR-XB950N1 noise-cancelling headphones with Extra Bass & they have really good sound. They have great battery life (22 hours) & amazing sound with punchy bass. I think they’re as good as if not better than Bose, Beats, & other headphones that are overhyped & overpriced. I have always wanted Beats Studio headphones, got a pair of them used, & then they broke on within the year or so when I got them. (It probably was the 2nd-gen version without the Monster branding on them). I’m planning on getting the iPhone X S & X S Max, & your audio options for connecting convenience include AirPods & any pair of Beats that have the W1 chip to switch being connected to different iOS devices, but they’re all so expensive since I already have these headphones & really like them
Monster also handled sales and distribution. They needed the established distribution infrastructure and leveraged Monster very successfully in this regard. Taking over the distribution was critical to their successful transition out of the partnership with Monster. HTC was a contractual “out” for Beats to help them capture control over Beats Electronics from their partner. Fine print in the partnership agreement is how they emerged from their ties to Monster. Monster was never a “parent” company,
"to address a couple of issues when it came to the way people where listening to music. They felt people needed over priced head phones with below average sound out put. So was born Beats by Dre." XD
I’ve had the solos that lasted less than a year; when the side of the headphones adjustable sizing piece ending up snapping while I was using them; mind you they were on my head, not while adjusting them. I had the beats studio headphones which lasted less than a year as well. The fake leather like material that covered the foam that cushions the ears literally came “un-glued”, I was pretty upset due to spending almost 300$ on them. My idiotic brain thought it would be a good idea to purchase the beats ear buds which AGAIN didn’t last a year as the speaker piece fell off the ear piece. I’ve learned my lesson of buying beats. Never again will I waste my hard earned dollar on a cheap product like beats headphones.
Comrade Doggo I treat everything I buy as if I spent a million dollars on it. My experience is just my experience with their products. Maybe I kept getting lemons who knows. I’m happy yours has lasted as long as they have, Good for you.
A lot of people have beats or Bose or whatever, meanwhile I’m content with my Turtle beach headset for like everything. I think it’s pretty obvious I’m not an audiophile. Update two years later: Yeah uh I was a dumbass for comparing Beats to audiophile stuff lmao. I still use my TB heatset for PC stuff because I don't have anything else, but my Sony XB900Ns are so much better (with a custom EQ).
You missed key points such as when Aple bought out Beats there was a product called the Pill XL and in a short space of time around a year after the product released Apple did a full recall on these. They offered a full refund incl shipping worldwide for the speaker returned to them as there was a fire issue with the product and/or its charger. Almost 18 months after the announcement of a new replacement speaker they then released the Pill + which, although its sound is good, its more compact and is nothing compared to the XL which im happy to say i kept a hold of and am happy i did as ive never yet had an issue and it stil turns heads esp in Apple stores among many employees

@@mr.waffles9434 I'm getting some math dsr7s to replace my solo 3s, I can't wait!
I got a pair of the Beats Pro's for only 149.99 because I got the discontinued Lil Wayne red and black ones. they are nice for relaxing but I leave it to my studio monitors to get a good clear picture of the sound. Great Video!
Beats are partly owned by APPLE
I have the Sony MDR-XB950N1 noise-cancelling headphones with Extra Bass & they have really good sound. They have great battery life (22 hours) & amazing sound with punchy bass. I think they’re as good as if not better than Bose, Beats, & other headphones that are overhyped & overpriced. I have always wanted Beats Studio headphones, got a pair of them used, & then they broke on within the year or so when I got them. (It probably was the 2nd-gen version without the Monster branding on them). I’m planning on getting the iPhone X S & X S Max, & your audio options for connecting convenience include AirPods & any pair of Beats that have the W1 chip to switch being connected to different iOS devices, but they’re all so expensive since I already have these headphones & really like them
I’m listening with AirPods, I prefer them to beats
DaWiggliest 1 AirPods are so great. Though I have a Beats Studio pair for when I want more of a noise cancelling experience
Ouch. I concur. Wearing airpods too
Same
Gonna be even better when Apple releases their over the ear headphones. StudioPods?
AirPods max? XD
This is your best video yet.
Who else watching with beats
this is the headphones of my life
purple beats headphones with 3.5mm jack
Apple Earpods (Old ones)
Beats wireless earbuds
Apple Earpods (new)
@5:00. Beats Executive, not Exclusive
Monster was never a “parent” company,
Who’s listening with Beats?
"to address a couple of issues when it came to the way people where listening to music. They felt people needed over priced head phones with below average sound out put. So was born Beats by Dre." XD
2:53 who is that? An actress or stock image?
I am using beats and watching this
I’ve had the solos that lasted less than a year; when the side of the headphones adjustable sizing piece ending up snapping while I was using them; mind you they were on my head, not while adjusting them.
My beats Studio 1's have lasted 7 years, pretty clear that you didn't take care of them lol.
Comrade Doggo I treat everything I buy as if I spent a million dollars on it. My experience is just my experience with their products. Maybe I kept getting lemons who knows. I’m happy yours has lasted as long as they have, Good for you.
I remember i bought my first beats headphone!! In 2014 and i was one of the coolest kids in my school 😂
The way you say that honestly makes you sound like you have some sort of special needs
Im fine with my $30 yamaha headphones
Watching this with my beats solo 3s
History of Air Jordans?
if you can buy them on sale for like $150 they can be worth it. anything over that is over price, even as a fashion statement
History of Apple haters
No
The Chillmaster why not?
The Chillmaster maybe because you’re one🤔?
Fight Fight Fight!
No! Violence is NOT the answer!!! : (
I'm listing to this with Beats headphones on.
Beats by Dre DONT sound better, they just have super heavy bass added in. every other tone is washed out.
Listening to this with my wireless beats
Beats aren't exactly bad but if you really cared about good audio quality you'd get some FLACs and and an actual pair of studio headphones
"Because, like Apple,"
They dont last for the price
Yeah I’m about to buy a new pair of power beats but mostly because
Im really active
Im a bass head
And they look really good in my opinion
They sound really good but not bang for buck but I still use beatsX because they look smooth af
