Good video Jon. I hadn’t really considered the different requirements season to season. I have been using Citrus Magic for a while as I had a soft top and it’s a great cleaner that stops the green staining coming back when you have trees around the car.
Useful to know Simon, I've got my first soft top and wondered what to use? In all honesty a vacuum brings it up to almost new condition, tho the neighbours things I've really lost it
Looks great John. Here in Worthing car is getting covered in Pollen a couple of hours after washing. I was up early today doing a rinseless wash may get myself some Citrus for the next 'proper' wash😂
Just got my first bottle of this ( only got access to the jet wash at the petrol station just now as external tap is gubbed). Mixed it in a sprayer and let it dwell for 5 mins. Blasted with jetwash for 5 mins and car is cleanest its been 2 months!
I bought some when i saw it won your test. Its great for bugs, under the side skirts and tree sap. Maybe find more uses in time. I like finding products i never knew i needed that are genuinely valuable to my armour. Anyway, thanks.
This is a great tip! Thank you for sharing 😊👍🏻 Quick question - where did you get your containers with the dispenser taps? I've been looking for something like those for quite a while but the ones I did find were pretty poor and leaked everywhere 👎🏻
2:30 250ml to 750ml of water equates to a dilution ratio of 25% not 2%. To get 2% you need about 20ml of product to 980ml of water, or 50 parts water to 1 part product.
Huh, I'm still using the ValetPro citrus at it's recommended concentration through a pressure sprayer (because I have quite a lot of it still, and want to finish it all before upgrading to the KKD stuff), then covering it with snow foam. I get 99~100% of all the bugs on my car off during pre-wash rinse. I do genuinely think Citrus Pre-wash is best used in conjunction with snow foam.
Hey john whats your latest recommendations for this year for maintenance wash products Pre wash and/or citrus, shampoo and something to finish off for a nice gloss finish on black.
I have the same gun. I also have an Ava. What connector are you using? Ava and that gun do not connect. Worked great with my Karch - which i will dump! The gun though is really good around the wheel arches
I fill up a few gallons of distilled water when I go to the local market and rinse the tap water off the car with it. This is my cheap yet effective method.
So im starting out and am a bit confused. 🙃 i live in sw france - hot and dusty summers with lots of pollen, bugs, freshly tarred roads and chalk gravel dust. For my weekend car, what would a simple fortnightly routine look like and with what products? The car will be ceramic coated in the UK before coming out here. Answers on a postcard! Cheers.

In the past I never got more than 6 months - o have tried Gyeon evo, DLux, even Csl + exo v4! Can you share your ideas? Thanks!
I have autowash. Been using bath but about to run out. Used the new turtle wax one. I've got the s99 one. And 5 litres of car chem which will last me 10 years. I'll use any shampoo. 1900 to 1 won my shootout based on price per wash.
@@ForensicDetailing Could you do a vid on the gyeon restart wash? I've started using it in place of car chem 1900:1 and i find it has more cleaning power to it for a good deep wash. I'm not using it on a coated but uncoated car. I still follow up with a chemical decon etc so wondered if it was worth using over just bathe.
Hi. I bought bilthamber touch less. Like the product but I have to use 500ml in a 1L foam Cannon to get to the recommended pir. It also doesn't clean for me if I go under 4% pir. Do you have any recommendation like mixing with surfex or changing orifice size because the product works really well but it is not economical to use this way.

any really mate in the summer its most dust and bugs... so a good citrus is handy as well. this stuff is good in the summer but its getting close to 50 quid for 5 litres now which is north of my budget but it won my test for a reason its really good stuff.
no mate. not more than any other powerfull sort of cleaner. maybe in theory it does but like its very hard to measure. driving the car will strip the protection more.
I'm buy some of this now. I've been meaning to try it for a few years now, but the mighty Bh AF just keeps working. You mentioned turtle wax rinse wax, and thought Id ask if TW have done away with dry & shine?
I like the idea that it removes tree sap but how is it on bird poo. Unless you catch it early it seems impossible to shift. I literally had to take a chisel to some on the windscreen of my wife’s car.
when you have dried on brid poo. put a sponge soaked with water on top of the bird poo and leave it sitting there for 30 minutes to soak out. it will turn the poo into soft mush.
They've just released the P57. Seems more aimed at the detailer again. Different gun, a longer hose but not as heavy duty. The snow lances provided are premium. Looks a good bit of kit. I love my P70
Hi John, im A bit confused as to why you say you only used about 20p worth of product. You said 2% was about 250ml, that bottle is about £10 a litre. So you used £2.50 worth.
I didn't really work it out properly was filming live 250ml to a litre but I only mixed up 600 ml. So used about 150ml product. But only half of it. So about 60 to 75ml. Not sure how much money that is. 100ml is about 66p? So I used about 40p. Is that right? Not sure.
@@ForensicDetailing hi mate… 100ml is about a quid… so yh more like £0.70 worth of product per wash. Personally i feel the pressure washer would have done the same job without the citrus stuff. Good to hear from you directly sir!

No idea it makes no difference what pH it is. IPA is pH 7 for example. Blend it 50 50 with surfactants and you have a lovely ph neutral mix that could be deadly to paint.
You say Ph doesn’t matter - I was under the impression that a high Ph product (be it shampoo, snowfoam, citrus) is more likely to remove a wax or sealant or reduce their longevity.
I watch your channel for a few days and I wanted to say thank you for your test, knowledge and experience you are sharing with us.
