Looks amazing! I know many people might think its a waste to fix a car so badly damaged, but im glad that this one was fixed. Its better for the environment to repair things instead of scrapping/replacing
Amazing skills! It's been over 50 years, since I've seen such a job done, and so perfectly. Nowadays, cars are just scrapped, because the costs are huge and the skills are no longer there.
As long as no damages to the floor panel, and somebody(mostly insurance, considering the low mileage) willing to pay, unit body vehicles can always be fixed to meet the safety standards.
Severely damanged would be considered a totaled engine or a bad transmission assembly. Body work is in contrast cheap depending which service you go to.
Excellent work from such a young guy. I am a retired vehicle technician who has done plenty of welding etc but i couldn't stop shutting my eyes when he sparked up the welder lol, he seriously needs a good mask.l
HE CERTAINLY WILL NEVER BE A OLD GUY, WITHOUT A SERIOUS INJURY DOING THIS, BARE ARMS, NO WELDING SCREEN ... THEY ALL MUST SHARE THE SAFETY BOOTS AND VISOR, HE CONSTANTLY CHANGES HIS TRAINERS
hi , im very impressed with the skills of the guy that fixed the car , its full credit to him that he has been a listener ! and today he is putting his very high standards to great workmanship , well done (score A1+ )
So if you want to hear my opinion from a German citizen, I am very happy to share it with you. I am very surprised how, despite the accident, you manage to create a car as good as new from a scrappy car with just a few professional steps. God bless you and your skills. Please stay healthy. Your Gerold Feick from Denkendorf in Baden-Württemberg.
Impressive...I thought repairs like this were history now, good to see some skills in action....my old Merc SLK has just gone in to be pulled after an accident...;-)
I think replacing the side was the correct choice. I agree that a car, that was practically brand new, deserved a second chance. I wish you could have saved my Mustang after I hydroplaned off a highway and crushed the back of it. I have a few videos on my channel. It was 7 years old with 71,000 miles. I had bought it brand new with 7 miles though.
He quedado maravillado con el trabajo desarrollado por Mechanic Han. El joven demuestra ser un artista en el desempeño de su trabajo. Felicitaciones y gracias por compartir.
There is no way this repair (using these techniques) would fly in NA or Europe. In USA the labour costs and replacement parts alone would be at least $12,000. The insurance co. would refuse to pay for it and declare the vehicle a write-off. But I do admire the skill of these workers and the amazingly great results!
Aqui no Brasil há esse tipo de reparo, desde que não atinja 80% do valor do veículo ou se não comprometer estrutura. Se não o seguro indeniza o cliente.
@@bigredc222 You can't evaluate other countries using the standard of the USA. In my country, insurance is optional and usually we only buy third-party insurance.

rather it be scrapped. once in a collision that metal is weakened it will NOT be as safe as it once was. no. i rather cars with any structural damage be required to be destroyed and scrapped
Please, Mechanic Han, use a smoke extractor so you do not breathe all the toxic smoke when welding. In some years, that smoke might hurt you, and no one deserves to be hurt, especially when you are doing so much productive and admirable work.

Very good job sir. I've seen you do things with cars I know here in the USA they would not. They would bend the metal back and fill it with body filler. Good job
Excellent work by people who know their craft. But in my ignorance I thought I would see a master of the rubber hammer straightening out all the wrinkles in the sheet metal. 🤣🤣

yeah made me wince, welding with 0 tint and thin plastic mask
He closes his eyes long enough when firing the welding machine. I have seen him do that in other videos.

Fantástico la perfección
This is shit work done where profits are more important than safety.
I can't imagine anyone being proud of this video...
And he is more then likely paid way to low.
As long as the car is registered as having structural damage, this is an impressive job.
Do it once. Do it right. No short cuts. A perfect job. That's how they do it in Japan 🇯🇵. Thumbs up 👍 from Canada 🇨🇦.

This is in China not Japan
I think videos like this are truly invaluable.
Cars restored like this really make you want to buy them.
A car for a suicide and a fool.
Nowadays, there is no welding, only spot welding with electricity.
Makes me want to run away from them. The repair was the best that could be done, but still a lot of structure was compromised.
