THIS IS A KNOWN FORD ISSUE!! ITS A PROBLEM WITH FUSE SLOT 27. BUY A REROUTING THING FOR 25.00 AND IT WILL LET YOU CHANGE THAT SLOT TO AN EMPTY SLOT. FORD MECHANIC SAYS THEY HAVE DONE THESE EVERY DAY. ITS NOT THE FUSE..ITS THE FUSE SLOT

Noticed lock symbol blinking on dash and truck would not start, not even a click.
Battt was fine and had full dash power.
After screwing around with suggestions for disabling the security system all with no luck, come to find out the problem was corroded terminals on starter solenoid which I removed, sanded and reinstalled. Started right up.
I also realized the security dash light blinks all the time normally.
A Ford mechanic told me that having multiple keys especially if one or more are not Ford keys will confuse the anti theft system. Also if you have a key fob (like Ford unlocking the doors) with a weak or dead battery insides the fob can trigger the confused system. Also having a dead battery can do it. On my 2002 F150 you don't need the disconnect the battery. Put the key in the driver door (with vehicle locked) turn the key to unlock without actually unlocking it. Wait one minute then repeat turning key to lock without actually locking. Wait one minute. This resets anti theft.
My problem was I had one original Ford key and two cheap aftermarket keys that were hid under the dash. My problem was my anti theft would not arm. The anti theft on top of the dash (red car and lock anti theft light would not slow fl) because of the other two keys hid under the dash. One of those keys also had an aftermarket key fob. Removed those keys and remote fob and no more problems.
Had the same problem this week. Need a new key. Got a new key programed and no more problems
Has been resolved. Its in my f-150 play list!

I had the same issue. It turns out to be a fuse issue.

It could be the starter. I have a 06 Lincoln Zephyr that done basically the same thing. It was the starter that was the problem. Replaced the starter and had no problem since.

It may be the key tumbler transponder system you may need to scan tool to see what it's reading.
I replaced my instrument cluster and the anti theft was activated and truck won't start with the new one put the old one back in and starts right up
I had to disconnect that damn ding reminder. It drove me crazy. Most annoying sound ever, other than my ex wife's voice. 🤣🤣🤣
Security light flashing because key is bad. It thinks your trying to start the truck with something other than the key. Get a new key, have it programmed and your on your way.

How about seat belt
Maybe the battery needs to be taken out completely and put back in. Maybe one of the cords is frayed, causing the trucks system to act up.
I have this same problem, I have only one key, I think it was misconfigured, how could you fix it, did you do some type of repair or was it just configuration, very grateful for how you can help me.

Descarga el manual de la camioneta, pon la llave con switch abierto y ve a la caja de fusibles del cofre, en el manual identifica el relay de la PCM es el de lado izquierdo, y el que sigue es del motor de arranque, puentea el de la pcm y también el del arranque, el carro encenderá y ya vuelves a poner los relay en su lugar.
