It seems that going not totally off an edge gives you insane speed as opposed to not risking it. I learned more than one thing so thanks man Edit: It seems the glitch is pulled off similar to Out of Bounds glitches in Coconut Mall and Dino Dino Jungle are performed
The out of bounds glitches in coconut mall are going over an invisible wall, whereas this is going over a physical one. But yeah, both utilize ledgehangs. The first part is called a grind :)
It kinda reminds me of shift-boosting in F-Zero GX where quickly going off and on an edge of the track gives you an insane speed boost which can be stacked (it’s and insanely difficult technique to pull off)

If you hold b while drifting, you brake while still in a drift. However, if you go too slowly, your drift cancels. So i was feathering the b button to stay at the slowest speed possible to keep the drift

@@Portentous__ Offroad stat also applies to road surfaces other than road as well as being in offroad that slows you down. Kalimari desert also doesn't use bdasher for example. Blue 7 is also used for no sc rosalina's ice world runs
Using citra emulator. You'd have to use ctm files for another game, eh I'm not sure how well they work. They used to have issues. We rely on the games in game replay system to play back the TASes
@@MKWilliam the thing you do in the corners with ledges reminded me of how takumi often uses the inclines of gutters on mountain roads to corner better by dropping the wheels closest to the inside of the corner down in the gutters in initial d, am i overexplaining
I had to drive backwards to return to the checkpoint that I left when I jumped over the wall. Once I return to that checkpoint, I can then immediately cross the finish line and the lap will count
