Robert Plant was quite literally in tears by the end. He was SO damn happy after decades of his ears and soul being tortured by pathetic putrid covers, hearing it done right.
If Heart at Kennedy for Zep doesn't bring a chill (and perhaps a tear) then there's no hope.....Plant wiping tears and Jason Bonham hitching his breath at the end of the song.....wow!

Listen to Heart’s “Straight On”. That was more of their funky rock song. Also, I saw Heart at the at the Wyman Auditorium in Nashville about 10 years ago. Ann’s voice was still as amazing and clear as it was back then. One of the best female vocalists ever. I love female singers that voices that can kick someone’s ass with power.

They did it for a Kennedy Center Honors for Led Zeppelin, right to their faces. Now this is a song that's been mangled so badly by so many amateurs, the guys in that band allegedly never want to personally hear it covered. Then the Wilson sisters get up there and put on a performance so epic, you can see shots of Robert Plant by the end LITERALLY crying with joy.

Barracuda is good but for me it's Crazy on You. When Nancy plays that intro and kicks up that leg, you know what's coming and it's wild. I actually saw them do all these "classic" tunes way back in 1977 during their "Little Queen" tour.

"Dog and Butterfly" and then "Dreamboat Annie" are so of the in the moment for them. "Dreamboat Annie" is a short, sweet ballad that both Ann and Nancy get to show out on. The live performance from the 70's is the best for that one. They always used "Dreamboat Annie" as the intro of "Crazy on You".

Please watch the Heart Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Led Zeppelin “Stairway to Heaven” it is an unbelievable performance and you can see them just a few years ago. Also it’s important to realize that when watching it...the drummer is the late John Bonham’s Son Jason. It is truly an emotional performance you will not forget.
I went to the Foo Fighters music festival in DC on July 4th a few years ago, and Heart was there. They may be in their 60's, but they've still got it. Ann still has an incredible voice.

This sister act was at the top of the Rock world in the mid to late 70s. They continued to tour and write excellent music into the 80s. Great Band to see live in concert. Anne and Nancy Wilson are very talented artists.
I haven't listened to this song in over a decade. Amazing that I still get goosebumps when hearing that fantastic voice. Edit: yes you are correct...Ann has that great voice that still sounds as good today.

I got to play in a band with my son. Some of the best memories in my life and I've had an incredible life. Watching him shred on his guitar while on stage with him had me beaming with pride.

Heart had a truly great rhythm section at this time. What a great groove.
A later song that did not receive enough air play was "if looks could kill".... her voice can slay you over the radio.

This sister act was at the top of the Rock world in the mid to late 70s. They continued to tour and write excellent music into the 80s. Great Band to see live in concert. Anne and Nancy Wilson are very talented artists.
I haven't listened to this song in over a decade. Amazing that I still get goosebumps when hearing that fantastic voice.

Ann and Nancy deserve all the credit in the world for making this band great, they are both amazing. But let's also get a shout out for Roger Fisher on guitar (he and Nancy were a great guitar team) and Steve Fossen on bass too. They were original members of the band and excellent musicians.

I got to play in a band with my son. Some of the best memories in my life and I've had an incredible life. Watching him shred on his guitar while on stage with him had me beaming with pride.

This song has such a funky groove! The mix of that funk with the hard rock guitars and vocals is like the Stone Age predecessor of Rage Against the Machine. Heart kicks ass!
