Helicopter Ride Out of Havasupai

- I opted to take the helicopter ride out of Supai Village. The views were incredible so I decided to upload the footage in its entirety, including the audio.
Date: Wednesday March 13th, 2024
Cost: $100
Wait Time: 4 hours, because it was a trash run day for the helicopter so that was the priority task before shuttling guests out (which I had no issue with).
Flight Time: 4 minutes and 45 seconds
Weather: Hail/Winter Mix and High Winds

I was grateful they flew that day. I was all prepared to hike out haha. Wonderful experience.
Do they accept credit card ? And you pay at the helipad ? What day of the week was it and what time did you leave ? Was it a big line to get the ride ?
I believe that they start the service to go in at 10 ? So what time is the first ride out of the village ?

All great questions. Yes they take credit card!! I used mine actually.
This was a non scheduled day to fly (Wednesday) HOWEVER they had trash pick up that day. So they did all the trash runs and then around 1 started flying visitors out. There wasn’t much of a line at 830 but only because no one knew the helicopter was flying that day…and this was March so far less people down there at the time.
What I hear is they will take all visitors out so if you don’t get there till 10, sign up and enjoy the village. Go to the post office and send post cards, get food coffee from the cafe, etc. you have cell service too so you can get back in touch with loved ones.

Oh and we did pay at the helipad. Also lesser known fact: you can pay 50 dollars to have the helicopter fly your bag up and then you can hike with just a day pack. Another option there. 😃
@@meghanstewart00 planning to go next week or mid June based on the weather. Hope it co operates. Wish they allow me to stay just one more day at the lodge. I want to relax for a day. I want to take the chopper one way and hike the other way, just to get the exp of both sides of the coin so to speak !!

Nope! Just wrote my weight down on the sign-up sheet. They didn't ask about the weight of your pack however. 😌
