- Hey all! just wanted to share this video to give you a glimpse of what it is like to be a helicopter charter pilot in New York City. Hope you enjoy and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

My son works in Hudson Yards and travels frequently to JFK. An uber can take two hours or more. Blade is around 10 minutes. They do a great job.
Yeah the time savings are pretty awesome and it's not that much more than an Uber at times, especially if you get the blade membership
Uber has an air option that basically just leases rides from this.
I had radio tower projects around LA and I used helicopters to fly my crew and me from Oat Mountain to Red Mountain to Mt. Baldy.
I was looking the other day an an uber to JFK from fidi was going to cost me 175 bucks. I think blades start at 350 or something to jfk. Was definitely considering it

Dude! Can you pls. watch this video yourself - over and over again ... and then realise how BLESSED you are 🙂
I am a retired airline pilot who flew to JFK and Newark almost 3 times a month from Central Europe. On my layovers I would come to the piers and watch YOU guys hovering around and flyin'g in-and-out. While thinking "Man, THAT is the dream job that I would love to have pursued'"... I watched this video with my BT headset on 100% in volume, just LOVE that sound. Bless you, will watch ALL your upcoming videos. Thanks, man! ❤
They refer to the Hudson river as the hell-i-copter highway. It's literally overcrowded with these noisy menaces largely quarter of a century or older in age. Already been 5 deaths when one went down in the East River a few years ago. You're glorifying a noisy and filthy industry impacting many peoples lives. Hell-i-copter tourism is for tourists willing to take their lives in their hands.Ask those dead tourists if it was worth it.
Excellent video. I fly a C206 and C182. Very cool watching helicopter operations. You did a very nice job of narrating. I will definitely watch more of your videos. Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks and glad you liked it
Thanks for taking us along. Been watching fixed wing pilot vlogs; nice to see a rotor head pilot vlogging.
Glad you enjoyed it. There's not many videos like this for the heli world
@@sinfulldoubt Keep uploading and we will come. Just found this channel - will sub now
Love this videos, thank you for all the hard work and studies to be a pilot, exited for the part 2. Keep aviation alive! BRBR
Thanks!
Quite possibly the best video I have ever seen for this sort of thing. Very interesting, very well done! Part II bring it on
Glad you liked it! I'm going to be working on part 2 tonight
Love all the details and checks that go into making your flight in a busy airspace look so simple.
It definitely keeps us busy but you develop a nice flow which helps. Their training there was the best I've ever received too
Absolutely superb and confident flying take care and kind regards to you, Mark from the U.K. 🇬🇧
Thanks! It was definitely fun flying out there
Most people would say they would rather hear nothing then music
Yeah that's why I cut to just the video once it was time to fly
@@sinfulldoubtI ain’t mad, the original song is one my favorite songs lol
@@landgrenade it's hard to find the music licenses for good songs too, so the selections are kinda slim
Than!! Not then!!! than is used when you're talking about comparisons; then is used when you're talking about something relating to time
@@landgrenadewhat song is it?
Fun ride along. Single pilot flying is always the most rewarding, challenging and fun!
This is a great video! I've been trying to find a video just like this for a while. It's making me miss my time flying for Liberty a while back (from LDJ).
Awesome! I definitely miss it. I'm thinking about applying for ZIP if I don't hear back from some of these other jobs soon
You've inspired me to fly this route on FS2020, going to do that now. Also smooth flying.
That was awesome to watch ... mega awesome ... thanks for sharing it!!!
This is just mesmerizing and fascinating. Thanks!
Incredible video. My best flight ever! ........great job of explanations and captioning
Super cool thxs for sharing
Awesome video and very educational. Love to see more like it. Thanks for sharing.
No problem, glad you enjoyed it
You have to do a separate recording of you talking to call tower and add a voice overlay to the video. Love watching your videos, and as a former helicopter pilot, one of the coolest things is hearing the pilot talk to the call tower! Thanks for bringing back great memories as a helicopter pilot… keep them coming…
Yeah I'm gonna try again soon
Awesome video being a flying buff, I enjoyed it very much. Happy Flying.
AWESOME video, thank you for sharing!
Earned yourself a sub on this one. Bumped into this vid on my feed and had to tune in. I worked in Midtown for 20 years and always wondered about these routes and how it worked. Cool.
Love it Sir, your vid is fascinating to say the very least thank you so much for your professionalism

cool to see this perspective, right across the way from the hangar was my old job Haddads inc. from 2013-2017! seen you guys at work before the second hangar was constructed, those heli would shake our building all day long what a time!
What a great vid! Thank you for making the effort so we could see your interesting day.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Jeremy!! Good to see this video, excellent job i remember well you talking about this video in your mind!! Almost 400k views already heck yeah
Thanks man!
Thanks for the video, grew up in northern NJ and went to college at Ft Schuyler - dad would sometimes take NY airways from Morristown to the Pan Am bldg to call on customers. Regards from new subscriber!
Thanks for the video, really enjoyed it. I did a helicopter tour from Manhattan in 2013, and it was amazing!
They're pretty awesome tours there. Lots to see from above
Another awesome and interesting video from you. Thanks and keep them coming soon. 👍
Thanks!
Awesome video. I always drive past this heliport on my way to jersey city and it always looks cool with all the helicopters around. I also probably have heard you on the radio a bunch of times. I fly out of 3n6 and my home airport shares the CTAF frequency with JRA so I’m always hearing the helicopters inbound to their assigned spots. Cool to see it happening.
Small world! Part 2 should be up soon if you wanna watch more
Cool job…. Blue skies brother and thanks for the ride along video! 🫡
No problem, glad you enjoyed it
Great video of the start up procedure.
Love watching you guys take off when stood opposite in hudson yards

I flew the 206 Long Ranger and to fly over NY as PIC was always a dream - great video...

Supper informative and well put together for the layman, thanks. 👍🚁
No problem, glad you enjoyed it
This is fascinating. What a cool job to have! I wish I would have known or thought about this type of career when Ii was joining the workforce.
Yeah most people just think of EMS, fire and police jobs when they think of helicopters. There's plenty of oddball jobs out there though that make this career a sweet adventure
Perfect view from the 407, please keep posting!
I remember watching your tuna boat videos. They were great!! I'm looking forward to the coming videos 🙏
Thanks! I've got some New York footage still and some power line work as well that'll come later on
Brilliant, really enjoyed that. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it

Great video!!
wow alot goes into these flights .. woooo .. very cool
I rode in a helicopter once in Tokyo . .. Expo 1990 in Yokahama
Oh yeah these flights keep us busy
While flying business jets for the last nearly 20 years, I am still fascinated by helicopters and just wish they weren't so expensive to fly. A helicopter add-on would be so much fun.
soon to finish my full A&P...cant wait to work alongside cool people like you and awesome aircraft like that
Well good luck with everything! You'll be in high demand once you get that certificate
Great video, thanks!!
