Just stumbled across this, great video about my favorite city! And it's awesome to see a family taking their kid down! We've been taking ours since they were toddlers (now 14 & 16) and they LOVE New Orleans. A note about boudin, it's absolutely a sausage. And while it has a natural casing most people I know don't eat it. Also, from the color and the "bbq" flavor you described I'd say it was smoked. Great town, wonderful place to visit. Been going since I was about 8 and I still find something new every time!
@@StephandPete I have the waistline to prove it. 🤣 I can't believe that I forgot to mention Cafe' du Monde because my grandparents lived just a block away from City Park. The Park has a 100 year old carousel not far from Cafe du Monde.
thats so much food variety and culture ya'll 💯 is new orleans a bit different than other american cities? architecture and ppl are somewhat different. really enjoying ur US vlogs and great ur posting them on weekends now. havent missed any of them until now :)
Omg I want to try all of these places!! I also love the diversity in the restaurants and places you visited - your son is gonna be sooooo cultured ^^❤❤
If you're in N. O. on a sunday, make sure you find a local bar & grill/establishment & go watch a SAINTS game. Even if you're Not A SAINTS fan, You'll Have So Much Fun That You'll Become One.
100% agree on superior. We went there, because it was on every list. Extremely busy, touristy, and the food was less than stellar. Chargrilled oysters were very underwhelming
Brennen's BBQ shrimp......... but you are hitting simple dive joints unlike all the fancy restaurants. And no we dont drink hurricanes un its from Pat OBrian's :) You did a great job!
@@StephandPete IF I was going to drink a hurricane (big if, I haven't in over 10 years), I'd get it from Pat O'Brian's. Wildly touristy but they did invent it, and kinda like Cafe Dumonde, everybody should do it at least once. Also, love Lafitte's, but normally I just get a beer. Unless it's November through mid-January, then I'll get an eggnog daiquiri. Sounds crazy but it's excellent.
Cafe Beignet is not better. Morning Call is better, but Cafe du Monde is the standard. If you go to Mother’s you no longer have credibility on anything.

New Orleans looks like a very unique place. Great to see
It really feels unique-- in some ways, like a whole separate country! Highly recommend visiting if you ever get the chance. Thanks for watching!!
New Orleans native here. Seeing Parkway and Liuzza's By the Track brought back many distant memories. 😎
You’re lucky to come from some where with such amazing food!

I’m so glad you’re enjoying this series! Thanks for following along!
New Orleans feels a bit more European and Caribbean than it does American. It also has Italian and German traces to it.

Thank you very much for this impressions! Looking forward heading towards NOLA next week!
Hope you had a great trip! Did you get to try any of these spots??
@@StephandPete Sure! I'm still here and checking out..😉👍
Thank you so much! Plan on going in October with my husband. We are from california but want to see other states! This looks lovely.
Have a wonderful trip and thanks for watching!

Thank you for this video going to New Orleans in a couple months so this really helps 😊
Enjoy! let us know what you think!
Good evening from Africa 🌍
This place really looks good 😊

Glad I'm not the only one, but what a bummer!
Looks great!
Love oysters from acme oyster house! The best muffalettas you ever had in Nola and bloody Marys!
We’ve been there on previous visits- delicious! Thanks for watching. Now I want a Bloody Mary. 🤔

So nice to hear that we did well!! Assuming you’re local, you’re lucky to live in a place with such great food! Thanks for watching.
Trông giá đình hạnh phúc quá mấy năm trước giá đình này cũng đủ lịch việt nam thank you
You should gone with the Purple Drank at Lafitte’s. The Hurricane made me rethink my life’s choices. I was like “do I even enjoy alcohol?”
This made me laugh out loud. It's an accurate take.

I am behind on videos but congratulations on 100k
Thanks so much! We appreciate it!
The dumbest thing I’ve ever said was I was going on a diet in New Orleans 😂
lol! That's the truth!
I am soooo hungry after that!!!
Haha, sorry! Me too though, now that we’re home.
And now Nashville!!! Catching up after my Oregon trip!
Wait until our Atlanta food video. 🤤
Oh sweet Jesus, help me 🤣🤣🤣
VAT of Dukes!!!!!! Hayles YEAH!!!!
😋
Boudin sausage… normally has a natural and tender sausage casing. Eat it. I eat every bit.
No Cajun music? . But they do know how to eat in the South. Bon ton roulet y'all 😎😎
The royalty free selection was limited! I was disappointed too! (But not in the food!)
Sigh, always du Monde, when Cafe Beignet is much better!
I've had a roast beef Po Boy from Mother's and it was awesome. Parkway is on my list!
Ah, good to know! Will try Cafe Beignet next time! Honestly, beignets aren't my absolute fav but you have to have them!

@@RedSox79 oh please Mothers is great
I thought showing the Porta John was hilarious 😂
Miss you from India..
We'll be back soon enough!
Next time go on a swamp tour
Nice vlog
Hi Boos. In Hashim friend
Lovely. AMERICA...
Oof. Big disagree on superior seafood. Also Molly’s was extremely unimpressive when we went 😅
I knew someone would! It came highly recommended so maybe we caught it on a bad night. And Turkey and the Wolf was much better than Molly’s for sure.
Seafood Sally’s closed permanently on 1 DEC 2023.

When you look as dead as the dead animals you violently ate. 🤣🤦🏿
What’s wrong with you?
