Get the Skinny version of the Hand Grenade next time!! You get the same amount of alcohol, but it isn't as sweet and a lot better! My husband and I go several times a year. It's my favorite city.
Love the videos! There’s a gazebo bar/cafe near the French market that actually has awesome cocktails! The hurricane from there is one of our favorites
Best bar for Absinthe is Potions. A membership only vampire owned speak easy upstairs from Fritzel's jazz club on bourbon. But... you can get in if you drink the blood of a vampire.
Hi guys! I just took my wife to New Orleans during Halloweentime and it was a blast, but dammit...I wish I would've watched your great video beforehand! These are wonderful suggestions, the ambience in those places looked great and all those drinks looked tasty. We did go to Pat O'Briens and the hurricane drink was very good. Went to Napoleon House (good food and excellent service!) and The Olde Absynthe House, but whiffed on Pirate's Alley Cafe which was sooo close to Place D'Armes where we stayed. BTW Halloween in the French Quarter is awesome! Cheers and thanks for the video, it makes me want to return to NOLA sooner than later!
Great video. New Subscriber. We just moved to Mississippi. New Orleans isn't that far from us. I'm going to try all these drinks and make a video and shout you guys out. Stay amazing...... Mojo
I love Napoleon House. The staff was great. Hand Grenade is the best tasting drink I've ever drank. Of course, hurricanes and purple drinks get honorable mentions. Unfortunately, I can't stand the taste of absinthe, but the Pirate's Alley Cafe is really cool. Fun fact: You can get refills on Hand Grenades for $10 if you keep the cup.
The Carousel Bar is probably the very worst bar that I ever visited. It's tiny, it's crowded with tourists 24/7, the drinks that we were served were amazingly bad. And the prices are a joke. And they are understaffed. Note that in this video, they say that you have to show up at 10:30 am so you can sit at the famous rotating bar. Because there are about 12 stools at the bar. My wife ordered a cosmopolitan and I ordered a blackjack on the rocks. I got (for real) about 1/8 of an inch of JD in my glass and my wife's cosmo was just a random glopping of random booze. I'd love to say what it was, but nobody would be able to tell you without a chemical spectrographic analysis. To be fair to the bartender, they had ONE guy mixing drinks for 150 people, so he probably was doing his best. You'll pay $25 per drink to have this joyous experience.
Hi! Yes, it is an 'iconic' bar and it is very touristy, no denying that! There are not many seats which is why we do recommend showing up if you are interested in securing a barstool without waiting. With the drinks, we had a great experience so I'm sorry to hear yours wasn't good! Thanks for watching
We agree that it is very different in color! But, they make it with fresh ingredients so that's why it looks so different. It was delicious either way and we love both hurricanes! Of course, there is nothing like the Pat O'Brien hurricane! Thanks for watching!
That is in fact the more traditional color, made with passion fruit juice. Not to knock Pat's, cuz there's are good too, but they use a mix that is more like Kool-aid.

Absinthe is definitely not my (Lauren) favorite, but it's a fun experience! Thanks so much for watching!
Bloody Marys are the best in Nola, I learned many years ago not to drink hurricanes! Too many in such a short time 🤢
Where is the best Bloody Mary? Clint loves them!

😂😂😂You’re the first person to catch Leia (our cat) hiding in our videos! She makes appearances in *almost* every one of them! She’s sneaky.

That isn't a Hurricane at the Bourbon O Bar! Wrong Color and not as many different Rums in it!
