I met my husband at Dooky Chase while he was working and I was vacationing from Florida. Here it is 33 years later we still go there when we go back to New Orleans to visit his family ❤❤❤
Having previously lived in New Orleans, I'd say you did the city justice with your review, as it's impossible to cover all the incredible eateries, cultural touchstones, sights and sounds of such a dynamic city. 🤩 Nice job, as always‼️
@ I respect it, I didn’t finish the video. I literally cannot take food advice from somebody who can’t pronounce anything in the state correctly. Good on ya tho, best of luck!
well don't let dat stop you. He is spot on about the good taste of NOLA. It's a must if you're not from there. You will make it a frequent stop just to try all. I'm from there and still can't get enough of it. There's a reason it has the most overweight population in America. Don't go during Mardi Gras unless you're in college. Far too crowded everywhere. The food taste much better than it looks!
I am currently at the airport leaving for home, CA that is. Only came for a week but really drove and walked quite a bit within and around the city . I visited a few eateriesnof which were good. I would highly recommend the shrimp BBQ pasta at Deanie's Seafood Restaurant, and not to mention the soft crab stuffed grilled shrimp . Now don't think that the BBQ shrimp pasta is anything like a regular BBQ sauce for ribs and chicken . At least that's what I thought, but since I was the last one waiting to order, I just couldn't decide, so I just had to go for the pasta . Man!! I tell you, it was the best choice I made . The pasta is tossed in a Cajun oil sauce , something similar to BJ's Cajun shrimp pasta . Man was it delicious , highly , highly recommend this dish. Place is so clean and staff was very friendly that they greet you with a great smile .
also gotta mention the po boy sandwiches, best is the unique Hot Sausage po boy with Barq's Root Beer, only found in New Orleans. Most enjoy the Shrimp Po Boy, also never wear black to Cafe Du Monde because of the powdered sugar
@@kemoy_martin no problem!! I hope you didn’t take offense! Trust me, if I wasn’t born and raised here, I would screw up all of our words lol! Love your content! God bless!!!
so right off the bat bruh, i'm from there and I wanna help you pronounce beignet is like the sound Ben Yay, and Cafe Du Monde is Cafe Do Mon, otherwise good job

I will be there on Friday for the Commanders 🏈game on Sunday. I’m staying on Canal St. I can’t wait to eat and explore the culture.
I hesitated at "New Orleeens" but cringed and turned it off at "benay" and "cafe doo mundy." Cant do it, cant trust it.

You need to work on the French accent for these iconic words. Just saying, mispronunciation could cost some credibility.
