It would look great with the rest of my HG zeon kits, the RG is fine don’t get me wrong but it look too....detailed against my HG zeon kits
I actually quite like the older HGUC kits with their uncluttered surfaces. They don't drown out other kits as much as RG kits do
@@HobbyClubhouse From what I can see it doesn't require tons of panel lining, all it does need is some water decals (which thankfully I have because they are not easy to get) and bam a solid kit looking so good with my Zeon kits.

The localish hobby shop got stock of HG Zeong kits and I do like the simpler aesthetic...I think you've sold me on making the trip tomorrow and getting the kit
Wow, just under 2000¥ is a hell of a lot cheaper than the RG, understandable with the smaller parts count though.
I honestly really enjoyed the early HG Z'Gok I built, so I think I'd honestly really like this one too! Thanks for reviewing both the HG/RG so we can compare!
I think all the early HG 0079 kits have simple, uncluttered surfaces with no more panel lines than they need which is a distinct look that's good for that classic look. I have the HG Z'Gok too and always loved the single-piece roof(?) of the head.
I figured there's bound to be people who are curious how this old boy stacks up so I hunted him down:) I think he was just re-released so you'll probably be able to find one too easily now in stores online:)

I love the design of the Zeong, but damn do things like the static eye and the general proportions of it all make me want a revive

@@HobbyClubhouse I have a huge collection of cool mobile suits some that people don’t like like the original RE/100 1/100 VIGNA-GHINA Ⅱ and a set of lottos and my favorite kits in my collection are the og zaku sniper 1 my zaku 1 ace custom and my char zgok

Just bought one off Amazon. Couldn't resist.
Kinda hopes it gets a revive. Prefer the simpler look over the RG kit. I'm a big fan of the older mech designs that focus more on silhouette and character over detail detail detail. Like srsly.. new designs feel so cluttered and busy. The revive Gyan and Gouf for instance are a blessing. Some old kits like the Acguy still hold up great but this one could defiantly use an update and there's no reason to ignore a MS like the Zeong!
You should get a second zeong kit and do a upgrade video to improve some of the dated joints and maybe paint it or thicken it up a bit in places like the inside of the shoulders then paint
More improvement videos for kits ought to be good actually, I bet a lot of people are just like you and really want to see old kits go past their limits
@@HobbyClubhouse heck if I had the money to do it I would focus my channel more on model building but even with my reaper miniture and hero forge sponsorships coming up I couldn’t since they pay with free products and gift cards for their own stuff
@@HobbyClubhouse not many people go back and fix up a old dated kit make it’s true potential shine instead they complain it’s bad because its old :(

One Year War MSes look quite charming when handpainted because a lot of old kits were that way, so there's a vintage beauty

You know, this is the odd kit I always wanted but DIDN'T have among my own back log. Got this one especially to go with the RG review. This and the Zock always got me excited because I love chunky boxes like they have.

Bandai recently re-released it in the Asian regions, so usually they ship it to other regions too maybe in a month or some weeks later. Keep an eye out on your favorite stores:)
the east they could have done was give you a clear display stand for him, because anyone none the wiser would assume that's his legs lmao, why make it the same colour as the gundam????? its meant to give illusion of flight.........so stupid now i have to go out and by a separate clear stand....
