I am assuming most of these will sit in some rich guys car collection garage waiting for the resell price to inflate....
on top of the fact that Toyota's old school reservation policy is bad. Meaning it's going to be hard to find a personalized GR. Whatever comes in to that dealer, customers will have to live with

How does 100 horsepower per cylinder and an advanced AWD system sound slow? I'm willing to bet this thing will be quicker than all of its competition except the Golf R with the DSG. It's also at least 150-200 pounds lighter than the Golf. Everything else in the segment has a warmed over economy four-pot so I'm excited we're getting something like this. A smaller engine doesn't equate to less performance. Americans struggle with that.
And now that it's out it's proven slower on track than the Golf R, CTR, Cupra Leon VZX, Megane RS and Elantra/Kona/Veloster N Manual and DCT and also your mom's Yaris.

Saw Toyota said they are giving every dealership 3 (2 core and 1 circuit) so if you're top 3 on your dealer's list you should be good! I'm #1 at my local dealership, crossing my fingers for a circuit!

I’m pleased the US are getting this car after not getting an allocation for the GR Yaris. I’m open to hear the latest news from anyone in the know but I understood only 5,000 of the lower spec Core cars were being produced and only 1,500 of the Circuit Pack variant. If true, very few will be seen on the road with many ending up locked away as investments. We got 1,500 of the GR Yaris’ here in the UK and the 70 or so that are on the used market at the moment are all trading above their original buy price (can’t see me ever selling mine). I can see that scenario being repeated with the GR Corolla in the US - to any of the lucky purchasers, please drive those cars as they are meant to be driven. They are fabulous machines and across bumpy & twisty roads, in my experience they have no equal.
You can make money off of it if you really wanted to just coz supply will be very limited and demand so high! But of course you get to drive one and why sell something that lots of enthusiasts want?!

i just sold my 370z for 35k with 40k miles in Jan when markups were peek... hoenstly a Z aint worth it depending on the state your in with the new clean air laws coming into effect.. for me i am in nyc

There should have been just one trim like Honda did with the Type R. All the bells and whistles in one package. the vast majority of us wont be able to get a Circuit edition because its so limited and the base model lacks the aggressive looks and feel the Circuit trim provides. For 35K, (estimate pricing) I dont think its truly worth it. Personal opinion. Especially with no LSD stock... What were they thinking?
