Thank you for your recognition here. You are the best TH-camr I've seen in so many travel videos when it comes to photography. When I saw the number of your followers, I felt the world is so unfair. Your photos seem to transport me right into those scenes. Looking forward to your future works.
Welcome to China🎉 I found your video through a Chinese local app called bilibili, there are some bloggers recommending your channel. And all comments of your videos are “wow this foreigner photographer really takes pictures of our country so beautifully.” Hope you enjoy your trip here
Thanks so much for coming over to TH-cam to watch the video it really supports me and helps the channel grow. I’m really glad the people of China have enjoyed the series as much as I have making it. I love China and can’t wait to return again soon 🫶🏼
Glad you enojoyed your trip in China! You really have a great taste, all the photos you shared and the videos you took reminded me the place I miss so much. Hope you can come to China again, there are still a lot of places deserve your catching. Highly recommend Hangzhou which is famous for transiditional landscape architecture and modern technolofy.
Thanks so much for watching! I have one more episode to come from China this week. Then I’ll start planning my next trip to China 😬 lots more to explore
I was living in Guangzhou for 2 years and it was my best chapter ever in my life! China is heaven for photographers and filmmakers! I wish i done more content for youtube when i were there! U doing great work men! 😊
China really is heaven for people like us, it’s such a fascinating country. I only touched the surface on this trip, I can’t wait to get back and explore more
Another banging episode such a visual experience. Your videography is superb. Your dialogue is on point and not waffle. I have lived in China for the best part of 17 years in different parts thanks for highlighting this amazing country.
Thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate your kind words and i'm glad you enjoyed the videos. I'm glad im able to show that the negativity around china is not true. An incredible country!
Another fantastic watch, Scott. You’ve really kindled fond memories of China and it’s clear that it’s an ever better place to visit now than it was 25 years ago. Thank you - I’ve really enjoyed the series and pleased to have stumbled across your channel. Take care. 🫡
Thanks so much for your kind words, I really appreciate the support. I'm so glad you've enjoyed the series and i'm pleased its bought back some fond memories from your trips.
Great work Scott! Watched every episode, last night I literally thought, "Wonder when Scott's gonna upload the last episode" and when I got up this morning here it was :) Been to China twice for work once in Shanghai and once in Shenzhen/Dongguang provins, love China the view people in the west has of China is so wrong due to the mainstream media.
Haha! Thanks so much for your kind words mate, really appreciate it. Glad you've been enjoying the videos. China is an incredibly special place and i'm so glad that i've seen it with my own eyes and can see that the way it is perceived in the west is completely not true. A magical country that will forever have a place in my heart after this trip
Mate, how do you manage to get such good photos AND videos of the same frames? Do you just get a quick vid then a picture after or what's your workflow? Incredible series by the way! Deserve a hell of a lot more views than you've been getting but stick at it, will be a pleasure watching you grow!
Hey mate, thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate the support. It all depends on the situation with trying to capture photo and video at the same time, some locations i'm lucky to have a tripod with me and others I just shoot the photo then the video after. I'ts a bit of a frustrating one being a one man band deciding to shoot photo or video and risk missing a moment haha
nice series of videos as I'm currently in Beijing on assignment and I've never been here since 2014, and thanks for your video, looking forward to more videos from u, stay safe. Good Luck Scott.
Great video, Scott! I'm glad you enjoyed your time in China. It's commendable that you formed your own opinions about China and its people rather than simply following the Western mainstream narrative. Here's another tip for navigating passport checkpoints: since you were in the central area of the capital, many high-ranking government officials work nearby. It's similar to being within 1-2 kilometres of the Pentagon in Washington DC. They also conduct random checks on local Chinese citizens to ensure everyone's safety. Looking forward your next video.
Thanks so much for watching James. I'm glad i'm able to show that the negativity around china is not true. An incredible country that will forever have a place in my heart after this trip. Ill start planning another trip soon to some more remote locations. I kinda guessed that the checkpoints would be because of this, I also think there was some leaders from other countries in town which could have meant why the security was ramped up a bit.
yeah central beijing isn't the most tourist friendly if we talking about the high security. that's also where all the main government buildings are and things can be compounded if there are foreign diplomats in town. you know certain countries kind of have it in on china so hopefully you can understand the precautions lol. loved your series and wished the videos were longer but I understand it's photography based and not a vlog 😂
Another subscriber told me that some foreign ministers were in town when I was there. Thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate your kind words and support! There’s still one more episode to go 😊 and then I’ll start planning my next trip to China 😬🙏🏼
Beijing is very different to other cities in China, a contrast between old a new. We only had a few days there so didn't get to see much but visiting the great wall was magical. Go back and give it another go or visit another part of China, its an incredible country.
@@scott_howes I’ve done shanghai and Hongkong also, just felt I couldn’t connect with Beijing, I did the Great Wall which was amazing 😍 and forbidden city was great also 🙏🏼
@@scott_howes but some times they check IDs as well 😂, especially in the tiananmen area, but no harm to the public, just trying to protect I guess, because have been some attacks in the past by separatist

Kiwis are 14 day visa free to entre China from 1st of July this year till end of 2025.
Yes that’s correct. Hopefully they do it for British passports holders soon so I can spend more time in China 😊
简直被低估了,配得上10000000000000000000000粉丝,如果在中国抖音注册个账号的话
Thanks so much for your kind words 🙏🏼
Beijing is only city doing this check your passport. Chinese governments official and the police officers have to protect them.
I also learned from another subscriber that around the time I visited there was lots of political events on

News: visa exempt for New Zealand from Jul 1, 2024 until Dec, 2025.
Hopefully they do it for British passports soon 😬🙏🏼
