absolutely beautiful!
Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏼
Your photos and videos are so beautiful, I really like your video! thank you for capturing such a beautiful China, I wish you have a happy trip in China❤️
Thank you for watching, China is incredible. I cant wait to return!
it's soooo beautiful your pictures and video!!!!!
Thank you so much!! China is beautiful
Loved that, Scott - beautiful film and photographs. My goodness how Yangshuo has changed. First that train journey looked like a dream compared to the 30 hour, hot, dusty “hard sleeper” of 1998! Then to Yangshuo - the landscape is just as sensational as I remember it and you captured it beautifully. The town looks massively more built up than it used to be - it was a fairly ramshackle large village when I went, and I don’t remember there being any traffic other than the odd small bus and tiny tractors (that could also be used as taxis!). The cormorant fishermen were just about still active when we went, but it seemed their days were numbered earning a living directly from it. Fascinating to see it all again.
I’d love to go back and shoot Astro over those peaks, but I suspect there’s quite a bit of light pollution around there too.
Anyway, thanks for the memories and the stunning production, as ever. 🙌
Thanks for watching Paul🙏🏼 woah I bet Yangshuo was incredible back then, what a time that would have been to visit, it’s very touristy and built up now for sure.
The landscape is otherworldly out there, I’m already planning another visit in the future
Amazing vídeo my friend, perfecr photos 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏼
Best video about China I've seen in recent❤
Thanks so much for watching🙏🏼
I saw your video on social media in China and it has over 80000 views. Thank you for making China so beautiful! This is amazing😍
Thanks for coming over to TH-cam to watch the video, it would be great if you can tell more people to watch the video here as I did not upload the video to Bilibil someone has stolen it and uploaded it.
I have no way of getting them to remove it as I can’t access Bilibili because I’m not in China.
If people wish to support me it’s best to watch the video on TH-cam as I have not uploaded the video to Bilibili.
@@scott_howes okk!I will tell them!
The same. Im in NZ but saw your videos on Chinese Tiktok so I come to subscribe your TH-cam channel.
just like you can‘t access bilibili, most Chinese can’t access TH-cam either.so asking them to remove your video won’t make those people here.I’m sorry. The only way you can get those Chinese fans is getting a Chinese social account
@@scott_howes
If you can, you can go to Xinjiang and Tibet from June to July. There is a highway called 318 National Highway. This time is a good viewing time there, along the way there are all kinds of scenery, photographer's paradise, less foreign raiders, but especially more domestic raiders, Is one of the most unique landscapes in our country.
On my next visit to China I will go to xinjiang and Tibet, it looks like a photographers dream. I can’t wait to return to China soon, I am already planning my next trip 😬🙏🏼
👍👍very very beautiful photos.

I do really suggest a small town named Hongcun(安徽宏村). It has deep historical culture and beautiful scenery that even listed as a world cultural heritage😊. Nearby is a famous mountain- Huang Mountain (黄山).I learned it during my high school days, but I have no time for it.
Thank you for the recommendations, I will add them to my list for my next visit to China 😬🙏🏼
Thank you Algorithm for bringing me to an incredibly talented storyteller via image and video. An inspiring journey that I will be following from today onwards 🙌🏼

So very interesting to hear the behind the scenes of these images I have been admiring so much.

Your video is absolutely stunning! The scenery in Yangshuo is incredibly beautiful. China has many other beautiful places, such as Jiuzhaigou, Lhasa, Xinjiang, and many more. I'm currently living in New Zealand, and the landscapes here are equally breathtaking. It's worth mentioning that I saw your video reposted and referenced on Bilibili, where it has reached 40,000 views. That's how I found you on TH-cam. I encourage you to also post your videos on Bilibili, and I welcome you to visit China again. Thank you!
China blew me away I can’t wait to go back and explore more soon. A lot of people have been telling me that someone had uploaded my video to bilibili but I have no way of getting them to remove it as I can’t access Bilibili because I’m not in China. If people wish to support me it’s best to watch the video on TH-cam as I have not uploaded the video to Bilibili.
No way, I live in New Zealand as well. Where are you living?
@@scott_howes You should be able to log in and upload content on Bilibili - unless they have changed things. I helped a friend set up and account and upload his videos himself people when he discovered they were being stolen and uploaded to bilibili.
So beautiful! After watching your video, I've decided to find a good weather to go to Yangshuo. I live close to Yangshuo but I've never been there.
Yangshuo is truly incredible. Really happy my video has made you want to visit! Have a great time there 😬
very nice video!
Thanks so much for watching
from February to May is kinda like a rainy season for Guilin, but still your photos are amazing!
Thanks for watching! This video was filmed back in November so it was autumn then. I’m guessing Yangshuo gets quite a lot of rain all year round?
Feel like I share the same happiness when you say you finish the bucket list. Your video is beautiful as a movie. I have never been to Yangshuo though I live near this place🤣I will get a travel plan for it. 👍🏻
Thanks so much for watching! China is the most incredible country, I can’t wait to return.
You’ll have to take a trip to Yangshuo now 😬
welcome to china!

These photos are really
Shocked me, maybe one day I'll go see it with my own eyes
I hope you get to see it one day, it’s a magical place
👍🇨🇴

Hey Scott stunning videography and the images are amazing. Guilin is my favourite place to photograph. It’s been a while since I have been back and watching your video has further highlighted why it is one of the incredible places in China. Not sure of your trip itinerary but if you can head to Zhejiang or Guizhou.
Thanks so much for watching mate, an absolutely magical country, I can’t wait to return and explore further. Hopefully in the coming year I can get back. This trip was such a great introduction to this fascinating place
Within 5 minutes you've made me wanna book a flight... this is epic mate.
Appreciate you brother, this is a truly magical part of the world. Can’t wait to return soon 🙏🏼
It really is
I think this might have been one of my favourite parts of China but then I also know what’s coming up!
Watching this back makes me smile so much, was such an amazing trip🫶🏼
I am from Guilin, and I am so glad I can call this place home 😭
You come from a very special place an incredible part of the world
You got some great photos from this trip. Sorry to hear the fishermen don't make their living from fishing anymore, but being photography models could bring in some money. Keep sharing.
Thanks so much for watching Richard! Lots more to share from China 😬🙏🏼
I have also been to Yangshuo, but I didn't know there was such a beautiful place It's like a fairyland on earth😵💫😵💫😄
It’s like something out of a movie 😬
一流的制作!❤爱了爱了!你可以做一个环海南岛系列视频,相信一定会大火🔥
Thanks so much for watching🙏🏼 I would love to visit Hainan one day soon

Very nice shots!China in the eyes of foreigners is different from what other domestic photographers take. If you have any plans to travel to China again, welcome to Suzhou. I can take you to visit Suzhou’s gardens, which are very unique. Maybe there is something different in your lens. Presentation, I also saw that you brought two cameras with you on your trip, what lenses were used with each?
Thanks for watching! I can’t wait to come to back China soon, one of my favourite places in the world 😬
Holy crap, love it! I guess it’s time to start planning a trip to China 🤷🏻♂️
You’ll love it mate, country is the most fascinating place I’ve ever been too
@@scott_howes it seems so yes! And it’s huge. Don’t even know where to start with planning haha
@@urosbogovic. Welcome to China. Please come and see our beautiful China with your own 2 eyes. It is the opposite of what western anti China mainstream media reports of how bad China is.
Come and see. China is clean and convenient to travel with super transportation like the high speed railways connect to almost every corner in China. It is also very safe even for foreigners that don't speak Chinese.
@@hengongchua6250 hey, thank you! Defenitely not falling for western propaganda and super keen on a China trip in the near future. Do you have by any chance some recommendations of places that are culturarly rich and are not mainstream destinations flooded with tourists?
@@urosbogovic , there are many culturally rich places in China if you dare to venture out beyond those popular places flooded with tourists. For instance, if you go to Yangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Dali, Yunnan and from there travel out of these popular tourist places like 50 to 100 km away you can find very local villages with very way of lifestyle.
The only problem is language if you can't speak Mandarin. But safety is not a problem.
If time permits, I recommend you to go to western Sichuan, Yunnan, Xizang and Xinjiang, where the natural scenery is also very amazing!
Unfortunately I didn’t get this far on this trip but these are all places for my next guest. The west looks incredible! I can’t wait to return
some incredible shots! you even got the weather to make it even more surreal! too bad the fishermen don't even practice that art anymore but I guess in this day and age you can't make too much money catching a few fish with birds 😅
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼 the weather complimented the landscapes perfect 😮💨
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼 the weather complimented the landscapes perfectly

If you’d like to see a more in depth breakdown I’d be happy to put a video together 🙏🏼
Need to do a train nerd collab with Joe Allam.. now to go binge your other videos before the remainder of the series drops...
Haha yes Joe would have loved the train network on China. I wish I’d have documented more on trains for this series as I that’s all I used to get around
@@scott_howes perhaps an excuse to revisit in future, or something for a future mini project elsewhere
@@sbutler66 absolutely, already planning my return to China. Lots more to see 😬
If you are still in China, welcome to Chongqing. I can be your tour guide.

Wow, your photo shoot is very cool, I like it, you did a great job. When you use the Chinese hashtag, it means that the view is limited,Not letting more people see your video,That's a pity. China also has many beautiful mountain groups, such as Zhangjiajie (Avatar Mountain), Lushan Mountain, Huangshan Mountain, Huashan Mountain, etc. Welcome back to China again to enjoy the journey.
Stoked you liked the photos! I’ll be heading to zhangjiajie in an upcoming episode. I can’t wait to return to China again soon 🙏🏼
