Really hope Ricoh GRiiiX successor will come with a viewfinder and f2 lens.
Yeah that would be super good
I just loved it Scott. Your honest enthusiasm, the incredibly well-made soundtrack, the gorgeous images, everything works. And when you create a video where everything is working the piece itself starts to add subtitles that you might have not consciously intended--like at the close the jazz piano player adds left-hand noodling that has an asian theme-- at least that is what I hear. Great work, Scott.
Really glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you so much for your kind words, it really means a lot

Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Good to see someone actually love and use their camera, regardless of brand. But I have to say the A7CR is special. It should be overlooked because it is a Sony camera. It is an incredible tool of joy. I love mine and gravitating to it more and more when I shoot photos. It basically is a baby A7R5.
they are really good shots, it seems you very well seized the sense of appreciation that Chinese do, or maybe just the beauty bridges cultural differences.
Thinking about buying an A7CR... Haven't had a Sony since the first A7.. Gonna subscribe tho ! Nice vid mate.
A real fun camera to use, it’s made photography fun again. Thanks for the sub 🙏🏼
welcome back. although, i am in fracne. 3month ago, i was in my hometown in Sichuan
Thanks so much, hope you enjoyed the video 🙏🏼
I've around photography for 6 decades. A good camera is about 5% of the pic. The other 95% is the eye behind the lens. You've got that special eye Scott! Bravo!
Appreciate your kind words Ted🙏🏼 hope you enjoyed the video
I only just heard about this place not 20 minutes ago and I'm so glad this video was at the top of my feed. No one else would have done this place justice (not the photos and videos ever really do)
As a film Leica M shooter, the attraction of this camera for me is to essentially have an alternative at about 1/3 the cost of a digital M as I could use all my Leica lenses with a discrete adapter.
or you could get an original Q for cheaper than the body alone and stay in the Leica system, avoid adapters and not have to resort shooting a literal computer that thinks its a camera! 🤷🏽♂
@@Caballeroshot Yes, I have certainly given that serious thought. The big issue for me is the fixed 28mm lens. It's just not a focal length that works for me.
@@Caballeroshot But then you will not have access to all those great Sony E-Mount lenses. Also the Sony ecosystems is incredible. And when you think about it, when you put a Leica lens on a Sony body, you basically have a Leica. Best of all worlds.
@@Caballeroshot gotta love hipsters.
@@gordonshkurhan It's a tough sell for sure if 28mm isn't your thing.
Hei what’s your vlogging lens ? Is it 20mm f1.8 ? Nice channel you have love ur rendering
This video was filmed on the DJI osmo pocket 3 which has a 20mm focal length. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

THE BEST!
China have no old buildings, they are all new
Thank you for the great video, Scott! I'm planning to travel to Japan and Korea for 15 days. After watching your video, I'm thinking about bringing my a74 or buying an a7cii. Currently, I own 24, 35, 50, and 85 lenses. I also have the 24-70 and 70-200, all GM lenses. The 40mm and the 20mm lenses are tempting. I shoot weddings professionally and I'm wondering which focal lengths you think I can't leave behind on a trip like this. I completely agree that the a7cr and the 40mm lens is the best travel camera you can have. Thank you!
Thanks for watching Ruben! That’s gonna be a great trip, I’m jealous. It depends how you like to travel, I seem to take everything with me but since the a7cr came into my life I’ve rarely used many other lenses other than the 40mm. If you wanted to go light I would go with the 24-70 and then the 50 or 85. I absolutely adore the 85mm and it’s perfect for the streets of Japan. Have a great trip mate, enjoy
Love your video as always! Chengdu becomes more beautiful in your lens.
