Have been using 411 himi since june 2019(bs4). Use it for office commute, weekend getaways, occasional rides to the mountains of Darjeeling n Sikkim. there were initial issues,all addressed under warranty, now runs n runs n runs without complain(i m a sedate rider). Even if I get a new Bike,will still keep it,there is some charm about this machine,only who have been using it will perhaps agree. Ty Bulu Sir for this video. 👍🙏
Hello bulu bhai. I have ridden the new Himalayan 450 twice by renting it out from royal brothers. When i rented out for the 1st time the bike's odo was showing 1600kms, at that time i felt vibrations more on tank and foot pecks as well. I have ridden it for 250 kms. When I rented it out for 2nd time the odo was showing 8500kms and surprisingly the bike was smooth. Vibrations on tank and foot pecks was reduced compared to 1st ride. On tank it was negligible. These observations were made at cruising speeds like 100-115 kmph. The bike felt good when i rode it for 2nd time bulu bhai. As you told heat management was an issue as at traffic it was throwing hot air on right leg specifically. And about mileage, i have almost maintained 100-110 for 250kms and i got 30kmpl. One issue i observed is on the rented bike joystick wasn't working properly. These are my observations on rented Himalayan 450. I guess if we own that bike, we will look after and care for it properly. It will turn out to be a good bike. I am a person who owns GT 650 as my first bike. Vibrations didn't catch my attention or bother me(In 2nd ride) in Himalayan 450. As I am coming from twin cylinder to single cylinder. It's just a matter of time we'll get used to it. And it's the right expectations that we need to have when we are riding Himalayan 450, because any single cylinder bike with more power and torque will have vibrations or buzz in it. Hope this comment helps someone who wants to buy Himalayan 450.

100 percent agree to everything you have said about old 411. I have bs6 version 2 model and i have done almost 35000 in 3 years and trust me it has been amazing. The bike has not have a single major issue till now.

I have scram 411 , its engine has become such a smooth one in its last version . Its vibration free till 100 , I have ridden 2021 bs6 himalayan and there is so much difference in both . You wouldn't know what I'm talking abt until you ride it .
@BuluBiker I was surprised when I test rode it before booking and it doesn't feel stressed or out of power till 100, I went to 120 km/hr and bike could still accelerate but i wasn't comfortable and so came back to range of 90-100.
On spare parts front, I own 2001 CI Electra and till date i haven't faced any issue related to unavailability of spares. Recently I came across a video where complete gearbox along with clutch assembly was replaced by a mechanic of CI bullet.

Definitely old Himalayan is very good. But the kind of defamation this guy is doing for Himalayan 450 is astonishing. I feel he's taking revenge from RE for some issue.
Bought the Himalayan 450 First week got coneset issue have to leave at the showroom for 4 days, problem fixed Went for an off road ride again same issue started. Left the bike again for 3 days to solve same issue. Went for a south India trip rode for 1500kms lots of vibrations for which hands were totally Numb. After this trip again coneset issue continues and new problem is too much metal clutter sound engine feels unrefined. A friend from Pune bought the bike recently and middle of the highway clutch plate is gone, mind you this friend of mine was riding a 390adv and have ridden so many other bikes is also a TH-camr. Now tell me why is making a reliable motorcycle for RE such a big rocket science? Do u think are these reasons enough for the opinion I have shared? So far I have done more than 3k kms. Still there is no news about the Low seat, absolutely no news about the Tubeless rims that they showcased during the launch? For a random RE owner like you always judge a person like me who has owned n ridden motorcycles across India. And mind you this is my 36th Bike, none of the bikes are sponsored by. Rands but I own them and share my views. Now it totally depends on how you take it. Trust me only the ones who are honest will have the guts to share the negatives about RE, rest everyone is taken well care by the brand.

But By god's grace or sheer luck my Himalayan 450 which has 2500 on odo with loads of offroad hasn't given me any of these problems. So I'm guessing yours is part of the first batch and thus so many issues.

I hate the design of the new Himalayan , which is why I purchased a brand new 411 just before they discontinued . Now I will gradually refine the 411 and remove all factory defects. 411 was designed by Pierre Terblanche , love the mad max design . new one looks plain ugly to me, no character .
It really depends where you live, rural India, needs tractors only, no point of a 450 even with it's nice suspension. I've been agonising over this for a week after I rode the 411, after much thought the 411 is better for me, also I found a great piece with only 6k on the clocks.

Bro comfort wise highway trips no doubt Versys is the best, but it is a highway only bike no off roads atall NX500 is a do itall bike no negatives atal, byt slight vibs will be there on NX compared to the versys at 4-5k rpms

Totally agree with you, BuluBhai! I learnt riding on the 2018, 411. Thought 450 would bridge the power gap. But when I test rode it, I kept stalling at low revs. And didn't enjoy the sitting posture, which is important as I go on 3-5 months rides every year. SO now considering if it would be worth it to pay the price of two Himalayans and get a 500 or pay the price of three and move to the Alps! ;)

Instead of old himalyan, buy a Xpulse. Old Himalayan is having issues with cone set, high weight(helpful in hilly terrain), low mileage, low top end. Having Ticking sound from engine But did Ladakh tour smoothly without any issue. Feeling Blessed ☺️

Its same same but different, with same cone set issue and tapped noise😢, My concern is we put all earned money in Himalayan 450 its almost 4 lakhs in Bangalore. Then its not end u need to spend again for way to speed again 10k but how far it is reliable we don't know. Clutch plate issue except suspension we have reliability issues in other things I saving money to buy one but after seeing so many issues, yes it's not for everyone but wat if that happens to me😑. RE should consider more on reliability y becuz not everyone sees it as a content for videos, it is someones hard earned savings and dream to travel places with it🙌 not against RE but we should tell wat it is.
Avoid eazy clutch by prospec it will harm more...to clutch plates .... And I changed my clutch plates after 63k km so it's totally depends on ur riding style

RE should launch a 350adv bike with J series engine. Not everyone can afford a 4 lakh Himalayan. Otherwise Honda CB 350 adv will have a field day.

Its same same but different, with same cone set issue and tapped noise😢, My concern is we put all earned money in Himalayan 450 its almost 4 lakhs in Bangalore. Then its not end u need to spend again for way to speed again 10k but how far it is reliable we don't know. Clutch plate issue except suspension we have reliability issues in other things
I saving money to buy one but after seeing so many issues, yes it's not for everyone but wat if that happens to me😑.
RE should consider more on reliability y becuz not everyone sees it as a content for videos, it is someones hard earned savings and dream to travel places with it🙌 not against RE but we should tell wat it is.

Being a old rider now days I fell, company charge more and give less.
I have Himalayan 411, 2022 model. Clutch plates are disturbing a lot. What about Eazy Clutch by Prospec and after market exhaust?
Avoid eazy clutch by prospec it will harm more...to clutch plates .... And I changed my clutch plates after 63k km so it's totally depends on ur riding style
