    Great points bro! I did most of these mods on my Hunter 350 and honestly, these are not MUST HAVE mods per se. These are NICE TO HAVE mods, especially the Fuelx Pro and aftermarket exhaust. I love riding my bike on setting 7 of Fuelx pro and the exhaust note is satisfactory to hear.

    • @AbhishekDaniel
      @AbhishekDaniel  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      IMO, the improvement in throttle response / low end torque you'll get from fuelX in addition to your existing upgrades will be very marginal. almost like a placebo effect 😅

    Well said. Good content. I have the BMC airfilter fit and red rooster performace exhaust as well. I am thinking of getting the NGK sparkplug and fuel x lite? But yes all this was expensive and fuel x lite and sparkplugs are another 6k and 2-3k each. Would the airfilter and exhaust be enough or atleast fuel x should I add to this? Please let me know.
    And I 100% agree so far just the ride gets better. No performance increase except low end torque is good and the speed range has increased for each gear change when compared to stock

    • @AbhishekDaniel
      @AbhishekDaniel  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The fuel x would be a good addition to your existing setup. It’ll make use of the bmc and the red rooster. Fuel x improves the low end and will run the engine a bit calmer at higher rpms on long rides. If you plan on modding the engine like installing the TEC camshaft, go for the fuelx pro. If you’re keeping the existing setup, fuel x lite is fine.

    I would say you need the next stage with a Tec cam to help it breathe. A lot of people judge the himalayan on 1-60 times and cruising at hyway Speed's but it excels in the 2.5 to 4.0 rpm for torque and comes into its own on trails. I think you will find the bike has improved when riden in these environments.

    • @AbhishekDaniel
      @AbhishekDaniel  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I did install the TEC cam after I shot this video. I've been riding with it for more than 2k km now and I couldn't find much difference except for a mild boost in the top end. I'm going to upgrade the stock rims to aluminium rims, replace the 15t sprocket with a 16t one and install powertronics as well. Maybe these mods will give a noticeable improvement. I agree with the opinion that Himalayan excels at the bottom end and that's exactly why I didn't go for the Himalayan 450 and decided to upgrade my existing 411.

  • @nikhilkhullar3298
    @nikhilkhullar3298 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I think powertronics piggyback ecu will add performance to bike rather than fuelx . Fuelx is majorly to correct the afr ratio of bike . Powertronics is much bigger game i believe in which you can control every single thing. Also, if you have any dyno test centre nearby or ecu remapping experts powertronics ecu is better option. I own r15v4m nd i have installed bmc airfilter nd aftermarket exhaust , so now to correct the afr ratio im planning to buy fuelx . Cant go for powertronics ecu bcoz i have no dyno centres or ecu remapping experts here in Punjab .

    Hello sir…first of I would like to thoroughly appreciate your views..well actually very very honest views on this issue..I too am completely in line with your thoughts..I won’t be the one to tell you to install powertronics to make your bike feel like a jet…himalyan the way it is I feel is perfect and yes mods make it better but one cannot expect superior enhancement.
    However I would like to add on couple more points to your “performance” regard….so I have done all the mods that you’d made to your bike under 10k kms because by 2-5k kms I was literlaly craving for more power ..by power I don’t mean top gear top speed power but rather a good pace if I say where I can just sit and enjoy…however himalyan being himalyan wasn’t like that…so I had made the mods that you’ve covered in this video first and then again the same response no significant change…then I went ahead and made a small change , however it had the most significant diffence out of all the 20k worth mods.. that was adding a sprocket 16t one in front …made hell of a difference and felt like a gem …next I took inspiration from on two wheels Ben and installed aluminium rims and to my astonishment it was bloody amazing …simply amazing!!..and then came the powertronics which just was an icing on the cake….now I’m going for the ultimate ones and prolly retune the ecu on the dump for optimal performance, that is adding a high life cam , a set of bigger valves and getting a big bore kit with bigger FI..let’s see how it feels!!…so coming to the point …it’s not the mods that the ppl or the media wants you to do because they’ll always be biased at least to an extent…and yeah money is a huge huge factor for all of us regardless…but when it comes to modding the bike it all takes some through research more than common belives of ppl on a so called “performance product”.. but it all depends on the type of performance enhancement you want…it’s not always about a bump of 10kph at the max throttle …sometimes it’s the comfort at city traffic or the smoothness at 100kph on the highways..that’s what I’ve learnt ..that’s my take on performance mods…you got to make the bike do what you want to do and that’s why you should do your part of the research is areas to buying what ppl tell…because everyone has different style and the way they like to feel their motorcycle.

      I 100% agree to your comment. Thanks for the detailed feedback. I too got the TEC cam installed and I’m in the running period now but I can feel the difference after 4k rpm. In the coming months I’m planning to get aluminium rims and Powertronics dyno tuned for my setup. The big bore kit is very expensive so I’m thinking of skipping on that. Can you share from where you got the 16 teeth sprocket?

    One thing to consider, when considering intake and exhaust mods, are "pumping losses". Indeed, changing the Map takes it to the next level but intake and exhaust changes don't fully rely on this. For the negative pressure in the cylinder to pull air throught the intake, it fights restrictions. This causes a loss in efficiency, prior to the power stroke. The same holds true for the exhaust stroke. The piston has to force the escaping gasses out and this creates a loss of efficiency. "Pumping losses" take away from the power that has been generated by the power stroke. It's like having a pro bicycle racer pedaling hard with the brakes on.

    • @AbhishekDaniel
      @AbhishekDaniel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Is there a way to bypass or reduce these losses?

    • @rdance3
      @rdance3 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's where porting, polishing and other restriction elimination solutions come in. That includes air filter and exhaust silencer.

    I installed the FuelX pro on my 2021 Himalayan because I got tired of the constant stalling at idle. I finally found that if I set it at 1, which is the most lean setting, I get no more exhaust fuel smell and no more popping and stalling at idle. So from a performance perspective, the Fuel X pro was worth every penny. I am able to control the fuel mixture and finally have a bike I can enjoy. But if you are looking for higher performance on the highway I would suggest just saving your time and money and upgrade to the Himalayan 452,

    • @AbhishekDaniel

      Yes, I agree. FuelX takes away a lot of the stalling issues. But none of these mods gives a performance boost even though they advertise as mods that improve power and torque. Himalayan 452 also needs to stand the test of time even though in the spec sheet it looks excellent😅

      1. Ride in a way where you change gears only beyond mid rpm (3000 - 4000) and maintain that rev rage. Himalayan performs best in that rev range.
      2. FuelX is the best bet when it comes to fixing stalling issue. Go for it.

      As I mentioned in the video, no single mod will make a noticeable difference in performance. The entire circuit needs to be upgraded in order to feel a boost in ride quality.

    It is infuriating that they are fully scrapping Himalayan 411 and that they are renaming Himalayan 450 as Himalayan. Its like they are erasing the history of Himalayan 411.
    The 411 engine is simplicity in itself. And for a bike enthusiast, who customises the bike to personalise, these kind of upgrades makes a better emotional connection to the bike.
    Third, 411 is easy to maintain as the engine is simple in construction comparitively and easier to maintain.
    Edit : adding a performance cam should improve the power a lot. I think sns has it.

    • @AbhishekDaniel
      @AbhishekDaniel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I couldn't agree more. The new Himalayan is a totally different motorcycle and naming it the Himalayan is creating a FOMO among customers. That's exactly their marketing strategy. That's why I decided not to upgrade. Will make a video on that soon.
