I have this exact element and have now bought my 3rd replacement in 3 years. Mine keep warping like that, but run fine for a while and then they start overheating and frying. What are some causes of that?
In most cases, it is caused by poor airflow. Check your exhaust venting on your house for clogs or restrictions. Also, check the dryer lint filter housing for lint build up.
When I test my element at the terminals I get a good continuity beep however if I touch random spots within the coil sometimes it'll beep and sometimes not. Does this mean that the element is faulty and should be replaced?
Thanks for the video! Question- when I test the element for continuity the reading is around 100, not between 0 & 50, and it is not warped, does the high reading indicate a problem?
@@jodycampos4853 Since the heating element for your dryer is the exact same as the one shown in the video, you should be getting very similar results to what we show in the video. From the results you posted, either the element is bad or it isn't being tested properly. Make sure to read the owners manual for your multi-meter to make sure you are using it properly.
You are the best. I been with out the dryer for two weeks and some body want to charge me 200 dollars. I found this video. For only 35.99 dollars on Amazon and few minute I fix my dryer. Thank you so much.
